Realistic major rivers, real terrain type/forest areas, with slight modification.

No pre-placed resources, randomized like a standard civ map.

This is the first proper map I've made with the builder.

Nice! You should definitely crop all that ocean off though, it will slow the game down as you play. Be sure to post this to the downloads section, as most people won't see it here.

Glad to meet someone who's as obsessed about minor map details as I am! If I still played Civ V, I'd try this map for sure. Btw what's with the ice borders? You do know you can just disable world wrap in the WB, right? And also, what hangman said. I specifically cut down my map for this very reason; the actual size of the map also affects loading times, not just the amount of land, so the less empty space the better.

One minor nitpick might be that the amount of desert seems a tad light for Australia. I guess it depends on how you interpret the 'plains' terrain; I've always thought it referred to somewhat fertile plain areas. Of course this might be for gameplay reasons, too: playing on a map with too much desert can be frustrating if you miss Petra/Desert Folklore!
