Map Size Override Crash

Cleared the cache still no go
Gave another good look at your first post about the MAF. Have you tried using the 3GB/ switch? I used to get that on standard bts until i did that. Also, is your paging file on your system drive? If so is there another stationary drive you could move it to?

3gb switch causes something to go wrong with the graphics and the computer wont leave 640x480 4bit mode
switching the drive the page file is on did not help

The thing with your visual settings is kinda odd since I've never heard of that happening, but alas at least you can always revert those settings. All I can tell you at this point is to kinda search google for any other forms of help on the MAF's because you will only get so many answers from CFC. If your like me, you could constantly research and use the whole 'trial and error' system of troubleshooting. I only recommend that last option if you are VERY VERY intimate with your computer and the OS it uses. I've made many mistakes with my monster so I know what it can and can't do. If I find any other tips, I'll let you know, otherwise I can only bid you good luck.

On a side note, let me know what you did to fix your error when you do as I am now extremely curious on your issue :think:
 
After some tweaking I have limited success. Some of the larger override sizes are still beyond my computer but I have made maps large enough to fill my needs so all in all its a success.
 
i have the same problem. every map size beyond giant (even RoM_fractal etc.) crashes with a runtime error.
(always on the initializing graphics page)
