lurker ooooohhh aaaaah Martians, do you have captain planet? No you don't. You have some cruddy captain Mars, with some lame rings (like ring of red dirt, ring of brown dirt, ring of dirt that had water 10000 years ago, etc), that with the powers combined stopped a weak little robot Spirit. And did nothing to Opportunity.

Yeah, we sent 2 rovers to your cruddy little planet and designed them to travel about 600 metres and work for about 92 days.

What happened? 2450 days by each of them (well, Spirit had 1944 mobile) and 20 km by Opportunity. Spirit "died" march 22 2010 I guess, Compared to it's january 4th 2004 landing.
