@JosEPh_II To me, her hair seems more white than blonde. However, it seems that her brains have been corrupted by some vile virus.
Almost makes me wonder if there is some random XML error or other minor typo somewhere that the game keeps tripping over and the problem has nothing to do with unit numbering at all. Mind, I'm not doubting Thunderbrd's ability to debug, it is just a random thought.
@Spirictum Yeah, this is further than I usually get into a game. Most often, the game gets frequent and repeating CTD's that just kill any further progress. Usually during Classical. However, recent fixes have made this version much more stable. I am looking forward to seeing some of the later eras.
As recommendations for your next attempt at single-player, try using a Huge or Giant map and remove about half of the starting NPC civs. This will give you a lot more space to grow (and hunt) into. Make sure that you expand as often and as soon as possible. One other thing I've found to be helpful is to conquer the first NPC civilization that you come across. Most likely, they will settle one or more locations really near you so you will want to anyway. The main reason for this, aside from the extra cities, is reputation. It could be observational bias on my part, but it seems that in games where I conquer a NPC civ early in the game that the rest of the NPCs are less likely to be hostile.
Another trick for getting lots of income. Research and found religions. Then build their Special Buildings and spread, spread, spread that religion. The earlier you can gain your first religion, the better you will do in that game. If you think the science input is nuts, look at the cash flow. 14K+ per turn, and growing each turn.
