'Roman numerals' are obslete, and should be banned from usage. A silly concept from the beginning, if you as me. Thank God (Allah? ) the Arabs invented something that actually indicates "an intelligent civilization was here" - for anyone that discovers our writings.

Ammend 'invented' to 'developed' (after being 'originally conceived in India').

I think I do recall having heard/read that before, years ago. Some younger people here have the benefit of still being in school, and having these bits of trivia more fresh in their minds.

But that aside, all I was really trying to make a point about - is the obsoleteness of the Roman numeral system. Imagine if computer programmers wrote using that system... we'd all need more computer power, memory, and HD space.
