Good, these sideburns would look strange on you anyway. ;)
Real photos as avatars FTW!

Mine is, of course, V from "V for Vendetta", which I'm using as part of my protest against certain draconian legislation that congress and the president are trying to force on the American people....

Some more news:

My second ever printed story in a magazine will appear in half a month. They even asked me for a photograph. So this time i will stop being anonymous, or rather faceless...

spoiler for the actual photo:

Not sure if it is good or bad. The story itself is one of my best though, so i hope it will have a positive influence on my career as an author :)

I am always looking to the left (the image is inverted as you know). I would like to think it is symbolic, left meaning not the gutter-dwelling political preference, but the "path of evil" or magic, in occultism ;)

Not that i am into occultism of course.

Just in case, let's not be superstitious.

:p

Appears to be Civ III played on a smartphone. Ah, it's AD.

you can play on a Iphone darn i think i need that thing lol so i wont get bored somewhere :)
Play on a huge map. You can tell from the image that it will take a while to scroll across your whole empire. :p

WHAT IS THIS WIZARDRY

Seriously, that is pretty impressive. As a software engineer, I'd like to know how that was accomplished. As a guy dating an Apple addict, I'd like to know where I can get a copy. :mischief:
Sorry to disappoint you - it's more Penn & Teller than Harry Potter. Simple screen-sharing / remote control. All it takes is an app called Connect My Mac. iPhone controls the Mac through a wireless network. The app gui includes keyboard & the gesture interface provides the mouse controls.

If you're ready for your SO's reaction you could pull off a - momentarily - impressive practical joke. I wanted to give the free version of the app the acid test. Between the time lag and the very small part of the map that's on-screen C3 is "playable" but not enjoyable.

OTOH the graphics are much more impressive than CivRev. :p

Sounds like a TeamViewer for Mac.
