Here is a modern trimaran which should work as a stealth destroyer, so if you want to give a modern ship a try...

Does anyone else think that the galleon and the ship of the line needs some shadows underneath the platform, or is it just me?

Of course you can use them in a / your mod, that is what they were intended for.
