Microsoft Visual Studio Express is Free!

I've just discovered that MS wants to destroy competition (again), by making a free version os Visual Studio 2005

But since CIV4 SDk is out, why not?

This doesn't compile the SDK. Firaxis used 2003, and a few things changed between 2003 and 2005.

I wonder though - could you set it up to use the 2003 compiler if you dl that toolkit too? If no one knows I'll test that sometime.

Or maybe I won't try it - it wants to force me to install SP2. No way - I've heard of way too many people who have had problems with machines that have weird setups, and my machine is about as screwed up as it can get without actually breaking anywhere.
