We had endless discussions about crossbows. But the fact is that they never appear in any Tolkien story.

No, but we do have all who are in the habit of making dwarf units
Seriously though, we're getting very close to a public release, when anyone who wants to contribute will be more than welcome. Unit graphics are not one of those things that are going to hold up the public beta- we're concentrating more on ironing out the bugs and making sure the mod is well balanced and fun. Of course, if someone does make an appropriate unit in the meantime, all the better.

I happen to agree. I believe I was blending another game I play with LOTR.

What of the throwing axes though? I don't know if one has been made as of yet, but I could check Dragonia, Darque may have included some there.

Axe throwers aren't a bad idea, seeing how the Franks were well known for such usage, and they'd fit right into the "Heroic Age" timeline that Tolkien's myth more-or-less reflects.

I was thinking the same. Perhaps shrink down the Norse one a bit and do any little editting that may be needed.

In fact, I don't think I have ever seen it happen in any of my games.
