*pre-turn*
Looks pretty ugly with pollution
I decided to go back a lil on science, since we no longer can out research the AI. Looking at what they had, all I could do was trade maps for some pocket change, but did notice only Macedonians are leading the tech pace.
turn 1, 540 bc...
move some Tyrian Guards
turn 2, 530 bc...
move Tyrian Guards back (bored)
turn 3, 520 bc...
workers finish road, go on to the quarry (we don't even need it )
Sorry guys, it seems the Greeks got ahead of us here. It seems an OCC with Victory Points is just too complicated
You all did admirably, especially in war time! Sorry Mitsho, but it seems your dream for a successful SG was a little short lived this time, but good luck on your next one!
Oh, just for fun, here is the save for anyone as pi$$ed off as I am to go ahead and kill the Babylonians for a hundred years or so :devil2: ...
senseless
We'll play as the Dutch or the Portugese in the Age of Discovery scenario, but we do not want to win this game, our only goal is to rule Europe! (all cities of European powers owned at the start) After (if we have) achieved this, it is open what to do
Swiss mercenaries
I know, this isa bit too patriotic. I apologize. You perhaps know the Europe map of Marla_Singer. She said, that she'll edit the Swiss in (after a list I gave her). If she didn't do this, I'll do it! Now, We'll play on that map as the swiss. One thing: We are not allowed to attack other civs at ourself, we only can if we help someone that is attacked. We should not try to persuade the civs to attack someone..
Palmyrian madness
This is an OCC or an 5CC (or something in the middle): You perhaps know Palmyra, it was a city in Syria between Persia and Rome. A very rich city! It came to fame with their Queen Zenobia (in English?). They revolted against Rome (because thei roman-Parthian/Sassanidian wars were killing their economy).
Now, our aim: We have to kill Rome and Persia as quick as possible! If we do not manage before the middle ages, we have to kill the Arabians too. map is your choice! (I'll prepare the map)
Republic
An empire does not follow a straight line in politics throughout the centuries. There are 'parties' that want this and ones that want another thing. At one time, only one 'party' can be at power!
a normal game, except you cannot play as you want. Before you play your turns, you have to determine in what way you'll play by throwing cubes. The number you get determines how you'll play:
1,4: scientific, diplomatic (try to be nice, our goal is science)
2: expansional (discover the map, try to get ressources and so on, war is the last mean!)
3,5: economical (The empire shall prosper)
6: militaristic (you can attack)
militaristic is only once listed. Otherways, the militaristic guys would win the game for us in a time too short!
number 4 is an old idea, the other ones are new! tell me you opinion!
Glad your still in good spirits Mitsho
Hmm.... your ideas are good...
Idea 1) senseless scenario is interesting and would be a good challenge, but I would rather do...
Idea 2) I have recently gained a lot more respect for the Swiss (due to the game Medieval Total War) and would love to play as the Swiss, but I'm going to start a DyP world map soon so hmm...
Idea 3) The Palmyrian game is a good thougt, unless victory points come in the way
Idea 4) It is rather old, but fun nonetheless.
My choices: Swiss Mercenaries or Palmyrians Madness
