Millenia vs. Civ VI

Watching that dev video on Steam, I am really looking forward to experimenting more with the different Ages. It seems like the game will allow both the more standard history but also some interesting alternate history. You will be able to pick the ages that correspond to "real history" or pick other ages to do some alternate history. For example, there is an age for steampunk and aliens invasions. I hope this spices up the game and also makes the late game more interesting. I also really like how each age has special games rules to make each age more unique. For example, there is an age of revolution where revolutionaries will pop up and try to make a region declare independence. Very cool!

A release date that close probably means the graphics won’t change much.

This is very much gonna be a “wait for reviews and a Lets Play” for me

Long time Civ player (mainly 2 and 4) didnt mind 5 did not like 6 and wont touch 7.
I gotta say go for Millenia - I took a while getting into it, half hour here half hour there, but at the moment I play it most days. I even have a bit of the old civ addiction repeating - one more turn or one more start, joy:) Plus I would rather have functional graphics then childish cartoon style any day.
Old world is good but limited/repetitive over time
Humankind had promise but too similar to civ and a too chunky UI for me
OK its time for another Millenia start. These days I have sufficient build points, sorted regions towns vassals and outpost, cash shortage, lack of culture, surviving the plague age and now need to make sure I have one or two strong army leaders - and still have many skill/bonus/gov trees to even have a shifty at.
