This is absolutely amazing to me. What you do is think of a two digit number, then you add the two digits in that number together and then subtract them from the original number. Then you look up the symbol for that number and then click the crystal ball and it guesses your symbol.

For instance, let's say you choose 45. Take 4 and 5 and add them to get 9. Subtract 9 from 45 and that gives you 36 . Then you look at the symbol for 36 and click the crystal ball. It will show you the symbol you just looked at.

If anyone knows how this works, please endulge me, I'm really intersted.

EDIT: It's not THAT amazing anymore now that I've had it explained to me, however it's still rather nifty :)

:wallbash: I forgot.

I know that these type of things are rigged so don't think much about them.

I hope.

Scared the sh!t out of me at first then I figured it out. SPOILER: when you add a two digit number together and subtract the result from the original number, you get a multiple of 9. All of the multiples of 9 on the chart are the same symbol each time it resets. Voila. And to think I failed a year of high school algebra!

:goodjob: Yup, that's it. To prove it, look at the number 9's symbol. Remember it and click the crystal ball. Every time it resets, it will always show the number 9's symbol.

Reminds me of that long math equation you give someone, and the answer will always be 8, or something like that. :crazyeye:

Ahh thanks Sultan. Now it makes sense. I wasn't too great at algebra myself...

Yeah, I can imagine that:
Subtract 9 from 45 and that gives you 34.
;)

I dont believe in such crap
and i thought of a number52 and did the stuff to make it 45
and it gave the symbol 99

I've noticed the 9 thing as well. I can't prove it to you, because it was already explained.

Same here.

Pretty basic trick, heres another i picked up a long the way.

You set up these cards each one with a list of numbers

Card one
1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15

Card Two
2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15

Card Three
4,5,6,7,12,13,14,15

Card Four
8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15

You then ask them to pick a number from one to 15

have 'em point to the cards with the number on it, You quickly add up the first numbers of the ones the picked and that's your answer. It's simple binary conversian but it screws up everyone you meet. (Exept math nerds like me)

Its pretty cool, but it wasnt that hard fugur out...
