Under decree of Emperor and Primate of the Faith Waldemar IX, we have created a good infrastructural system for growth and prosperity. With the new farming system, we can create foods for ourselves without need of searching through shrubbery. Using the market trade, we can then offer the farmed food to those who do not own farms in return for other goods valuable to us. His Imperial Omnipotence has hitheruntofore decreed that more farmland shall be created as well as an official ground for which food can be kept and distributed. We also note that His Imperial Omnipotence has had his first son, whom he has named Johannes.
Our population has increased as the amount of food has increased, resulting in migrations towards outside lands. We journey westward in hopes of meeting discovering the ends of the rivers so that we may find the western sea. Similarly, we follow the river flowing east to find the sea it must empty into. We also expand southwards into the hills in hopes to find more richer grounds.

The the year [DELETED] , news came to Ferretus about some ingenious ferrets who had discovered ways to grow food along the Great River. They could get the same food from the same spot year after year without having to hunt for it in the jungle. The ferrets who had discovered this practice feared punishment, but Ferretus, in his infinite wisdom saw the advantage to this and rewarded them greatly. He had them oversee the construction of more farms. This allowed an even larger food supply for the Amazonian Ferrets.

We have also increased our farming, and thereby food, under his system. His Imperial Omnipotence has issued an order to increase our agriculture further by creating two new farms, so that our food output shall never be negative. With our lucky harvests in the past, we realize there is a possibility for an unexpected loss, so with these new farms, we cannot starve. We also increase our military in the event that others may invade, although we do not see any nearby enemies. His Imperial Highness Johannes has hunted his first insect and continues to do so regularly. He should be of mature age by the coming year. His Imperial Omnipotence has had another son, Waldemar.
We continue to expand into the southern hills and reach a land of great flatness. We feel the warmness in our fur and decide to continue onwards. In the West we see many great mountains, so we trek across, hoping to find the Western Sea. We also follow the mountains so that we may scout the lands better. As we follow a river from the mountain, we notice that it begins to carve into the rocks. We decide to follow it to the source along the ledges above the valley.
