missing files and unstable game under XP

Hi there,
a friend with C3C 122 complained about missing files (mostly wav files, i.e. Knightdeath.wav or GaleonFidget.wav) when he played SP or PBEM games. Also, under Windows XP the game stalls quite often which makes it a pain for him to play and keep up the fun... thought I mention it here.
