The game - original, Warlords, BTS - has always worked fine for me, including my current computer (a Vista laptop bought in 2008). A few days ago I reinstalled it (Civ4 + BTS + latest patch). Afterwards, the text of some, but not all, options in the options menu and buttons in the main game was missing and replaced with placeholder text (e.g. TXT_KEY_SAVE_GAME is displayed when I save a game, instead of 'game saved'). I have twice uninstalled it, deleted all relevant folders, and reinstalled it, with the same result. Could anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
