Mod Combining - How to?

Hi! I am interested in combining two different mods (three actual), though I have little experience in modding and coding. I have tried to create a new mod folder as one should and copy/paste whatever I want from each mod into, but it still doesn't seem to work. Also, it seems like my computer simply won't let me edit .int files.

So, what is the optimal way to combine mods? Any helt great appreciated

Btw, the three given mods are Revolution modpack, CivGold and 43 Religions

you have plenty of tutorial through out the site,
also,

basicly you need to merge each line to one single file, you cant just copy paste to one modfolder.

you can merge with winmerge, google it.

but read the tutorials.

I have read all tutorials I have been able to find
However, the problem really is that I can't seem to make .ini files. Civ Gold uses modular civs and to make the revolution component work properly I have to use it's .ini stuff. I change modular loading to 1, but when I wish to save, it can only make a notepad file and not an .ini
