[MOD] Composite Mod by Exavier

@Rabbit, White - all of the above :P

Balancing it out because it lets me spread things out a bit to make units last longer. Slow it down more toward the end of the tech tree so the game doesn't end exactly when you hit the modern era...

And yes add room for more units... if you look at the tech tree picture and compare it with the one in v1.6 you will notice alot of stuff in a small space so things became obsolete before you even get it. With this expanded tech tree i am hoping to make it so you can be 3-5 techs ahead of someone but still using the same units (you phasing them out and they phasing them in).

I honestly would do something with the older eras but I am seriously short on ideas as besides Ancient Egypt my historical knowledge starts at the Civil War and preceeds to modern day :P


EDIT: btw did anyone notice the gap i made between Fission (Nukes) and Focused Energy Systems (SDI)? :P
 
Labor unions comes a little late... Everything else looks good in the tech tree. Will each new tech have something special about it, like new buildings, wonders, units...
 
@sealboy6 - Actually if you go by positioning it comes late... if you go by Prereqs it actually comes a little earlier then it shows up... I just ran out of room for misc techs in the tree :P

Flight
Prossesses
Military
Sciences
Communications
Misc
Medical

Makes it easier to read IMO...

As for new units/buildings I hope to but there will be alot of empty techs when I do the next release as atm I don't have any idea what is needed. Figure i will let you guys play test it and tell me what I should add :P

EDIT: My next major projects before the next release are Civics (i wana add some more but haven't decided what yet), and Multi-Lingual Translations (going to work on that tomorrow)
 
The first labor unions were in the 1850s. Flight comes 50 years after...

The mod is very good. I like what you've done. Keep up the good work. Sorry to say i can't help you, since I don't know anything your talking about. Historical stuff is where I stop.
 
@sealboy6 - The misc techs (like nonviolence, labor unions, ect) actually appere a little later on my tech tree then they can actually be discovered lol. The reason is they were secondary when it came to organization (as they don't have any real arrow flow) so i just stuck them in avalible spaces :P

@RED DIAMOND - hehe thanx... Actually i finally got it merged with 0 Errors so now its going into a testing phase :)
 
hehe I haven't merged yours into my beta version yet... still on the todo list but will probobly get those in before I put it through its testing runs... I had to get the tech tree stable first :P

Honestly I am not sure when the next update will be as I hadn't planned on one for at least another week or two... But I was also expecting more of a challenge with all the Tech Tree links... so if not by sunday then probobly mid to late next week at the latest :)
 
Yes well I mean I'm good, but I dont know if I have the time :p. Want to work on my next version too.
 
Problem with my score... I Can't see it... i cant even see the ennemy's score too and i can't see what religion the other are on my screen, like before... don't tell me its the option, i know it !!!
It is something about the mods, cant see why its doing this.

More details : sometime i start the game and i can see my score... after a couple turn i meet someone and then... no more score... If someone got the same religion than me, i can see him but the seconde i meet someone else for any reason... no more score !!! WTH ? :confused:

sometime i can see lot of information with the score and sometime its just showing me the name... most of the time i don't see any score on my screen even if i push the option over and over again (on/off).

please help

Thats probobly why... I haven't exactly finished all the text conversions to other languages... English is the only one its 100% compatable with atm... trying to fix this for the next update.
 
Hi Exavier, would you be so kind as to tell me what has to be changed in order to implement the SoldierCitizen+GreatGeneral in a mod? I already changed the XMLs and its working fine ingame, but something is clearly missing. for example, it does not display any info when hovering with the mouse cursor over the soldier specialist box in the city screen. and it gives me some error messages when I load up the mod, even though it then works fine anyway.

@[to_xp]Gekko - The Great General's and Soldier Specialist came from Snaif's Great General Mod... It ties into a python file which is probobly one of the most modified in my mod... I'd recommend downloading Snaif's Great General Mod seperatly and see what your missing...

He actually did good on the python by commenting where his changes where so it makes it easy to find them (I have tryed to keep this same thing in my mod but I think i have 6 Modification blocks in that 1 python file now)

If you can't find the files (as they are Pre v1.52) let me know and I can send you a copy... if you just copy the changes made withing the Modification Blocks (for the python) you won't have any problems with it being v1.52 compatable :)
