[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

@Kael

I am currently playing the Amurites in an attempt to get a better grip on the whole arcane thing. By the remotest chance have you ever read Richard Tuttle's Forgotten Legacy series? The mages, wizards, demons, etc.. in his work remind me alot of those in FfH. Probably what I see in FfH is drawn from D&D in general. I've never played D&D before so I wouldn't know. Anyway.

Nope, never read Forgotten Legacy.

That is correct, dwarven mines cant be pillaged.

Can the mines be destroyed by regular workers building a different terrain improvement (e.g. windmill, regular mine)? (I didn't think to try this during my game.) Perhaps I need to include a few workers in my SODs!

@Lobsterboy, I am pretty sure that you cannot build improvements in the territory of someone who you are at war with(except maybe roads).

:cringe: Yeah, you're probably right. Although if you're at war with another civ, you probably should be able to do anything to their lands!

I have a bunch of diseased units, but I don't know how to cure them. Any help would be great! :)

The wonder Aquae Sucellus will cure disease from any units in the city. The Grigori Medic can cure disease (Grigori UU). Priests, High Priests, and Inquisitors of the Order, Runes of Kilmorph or Fellowship of Leaves can learn Cure Disease if they learn Life 2.

If you are Octopus Overlords or the Ashen Veil you don't have a good way to cure disease. You may be better of relying on units that cant get diseased like undead and demon units.

What exactly does the haste spell do. Does it apply only to the unit in question or can it be used for an entire stack. Sorry, but the pedia entry is lacking. Thanks.

Makes all the units in the caster's stack Hasted (+1 movement) for a turn

Haste gives the stack the caster is in the haste promotion which allows one extra movement and first strike.

Haste doesnt give first strike anymore, that was moved off to the dance of blades spell.

Indeed, it's never done that in FFH2 has it? Only in FFH1. In the good old days when you could build Archmages. That's right kids! Build Archmages!

Cheers!

I've noticed the demon M________ of Dis will not attack enemy Stygian Guards. Is that intended? If so, I imagine it is because they are pals going way back to Dante's Inferno 3rd layer of Hell and the River Styx. :)

There isn't anything that keeps Meshabber from attacking enemy demons.

I actually expected FfH1 would stick around after FfH2's release better than it has, it kinda died once FfH2 came out. I think putting the 2 after the name doomed FfH1 (everybody wants the latest/greatest).

But it still has a special place in my heart, mostly because it was mostly designed by me where FfH2 is much more of a team effort. From a game design perspective its a pretty tight design and has less gaps than FfH2 (just because FfH2 isn't finished yet).

I have thought a few times about going back and giving it a cosmetic facelift. Not making any functional changes but switching to some of the improved units and such that we have since created in FfH2. Maybe when I get some free time.

Diving in here with my first post. Just wanted to say that I enjoyed FFH1 loads and going to try FFH2. Question though, is this for Warlords or do I still run it through the basis Civ4. Thanks. Sorry if there is a really obvious answer to this and I`ve missed it.

I knew you were going to say that. Let me figure out what I did wrong. I have to be the dumbest FfH there is. If anyone is looking for a MP chump, that's me.
