[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

where am I supposed to install the 25c?

I installed it first with the default settings from settup... no luck then I tried to istall it in C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\with no luck?; tried to run it but in the middle of loading up about a dozen errors came up and it droped to windows? what am I doing wrong?

Oh and I also installed the proper patch and media pack.

I took the liberty of copying this from the first page... read it through a couple of times and you will notice that you have two different versions (one for vanilla and one for bts) mixed up ;)

I just read in the FfH 0.25 bug thread that the HN units capturing cities - issue will not be fixed :( . I suppose the FfH team has good reasons for that...are they of technical nature :confused: ?!
Personally I don't think that this change makes sense because once a hidden nationality unit captures a city it's nationality is well-known (at least to the human players...).
Furthermore, as some people pointed out in the FfH bug thread, it becomes very easy to wipe out whole empires with HN units without even declaring war. I'm not sure whether the AI will also use HN units to capture cities, but if not, there will be a big balance problem in the game.
If, for whatever reason, it is impossible to fix this issue, then I would suggest that when a HN unit captures a city, it's nationality is automatically declared, our at least that the owner of this unit is forced to declare war to the owner of the city; a warning to the owner of the unit if he really intends to declare war would be nice.
 
Yeah, its for technical reasons. I wrote the HN system for FfH on vanilla but for the BtS Im using Firaxis's system. The AI in particular is hard for this specific function. The AI doesn't understand attacking a town without being able to take it.

Not that it isn't possible to code something to deal with it, just in the scope of the issues its very minor. But I listed it as a permanent change because I dont have any plans to change it (at this time) but to let people know that we are aware of it.
 
I updated to patch "g" in the first post, it will break save games and makes the following changes:

1. Fixed an error with Graft Flesh.
2. Fixed Hotseat play.
3. Governors Manor's now provide +1 hammer per unhappy population.
4. Fixed an error with the Inquisition spell.
5. Added a unitclass prereq for spells (all inquisitors can now cast inquisition).
6. Non-obsolete units won't be upgraded in the production queue.
7. Fixed an issue that could cause a unit to start mutated even when mutation chance was 0%.
8. Units won't re-mutate on upgrade or conversion.
9. Pool of Tears now removes poisoned correctly.
10. Fixed the FFHAddPopup error on the civics screen.
11. Rewrote trait code to resolve Adaptive and Insane OOS's (needs tested).
12. Reduced inflation across all difficulty levels.

I was discouraged by Age of Ice in BtS but this mod is awesome :goodjob:

Any plans for putting espionage in the game? Also are the random events any different from the normal game? I'm playing with living world(double random events) and I have only gotten two random events: Crabcakes(get 50-110gp) and I think something because Armageddon counter reached 10(nothing happened just random pop-up.
 
How do you attack barbarian units/cities if your friendly to them. At first I was asked each time if I wanted to declare war on them but after the 3rd time I said no, I quit getting the option.

I just downloaded FFH for BtS, patch g and the Media pack. I installed everything and I now get a (GFC Load Error) Any ideas?

Some people report a "GFC error: failed to initialaize the primary control theme" error loading the mod. In some cases reinstalls have resolved it, in others it seems to be caused when Civ4 isn't installed in the typical location (under Program Files/Firaxis Games/).
 
That's the load error I get. Civ4,BtS is installed the right way as you have it. I reinstalled FFH but got the same error. I will try redownloading and reinstalling and see if that helps. Thanks for your help Kael.

Definitly post and let us know what you figure out, several players have reported the error.
 
I finally got FFH working. The original DL was missing the auto installer, so I converted it to a RAR file and installed from there, but something was missing in the conversion, so I deleated everything and did a fresh DL and low & behold, the auto installer icon was there on the desktop this time. Did a reinstall and everything is working. Looks like no sleep this weekend, that's ok as I don't have to work. Sweet MOD Kael. Thanks for all the hard work you & your team put into FFH.

The barbarian animals I attacked gave me the option to go to war or not, found one last tiger to start the war. But If I attacked the Lich, Orcs, or gobblins I could not start a war with the barbarians.
 
Patch "h" is linked in the first post. It will break save games and resolves the following issues:

1. Units wont gain the mutated promotion after upgrades and conversions.
2. Disciples will be gifted on religion founding.
3. Favorite Wonder is now displayed in the pedia.
4. Permanent traits (the leaders favorite civic for adaptive leaders) wont be lost when selecting a new trait.
5. Fixed the Governors Manor production issue (caused Calabim cities to get to much production).
6. Fixed the Tuple error when Armageddon events trigger.
7. Only true spellcasters will recieve free spellcaster xp.
8. Added a debug option to block FfH Combat functions (for OOS testing).
9. Fixed an issue that would cause Entropy mana to reduce your own units heal rate.
10. Redirected unit info calls to a static definition (for performance).
11. Barbatmos will no longer spawn if the No Barbarians option is specified.
 
I hope that isn't a repost but this flame title feature is said that is passable but It isn't! Causing huge damage.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?
 
I recently purchased BTS(waiting until FFH2was compatible)and there is a raging forest fire sweeping across my continent. This has been going on for many turns. Is this part of the BTS random events or something specific to FFH2?
