[MOD] POST APOCALYPTIC Conversion (For Warlords 2.08)

Yeah, the backstory factor is really why I wanted to make the fallout period shorter, so we could have them not completely forget what they knew.

About your proposals (good ideas, BTW). What do their traits do? Or are those values?

Their more like a description rather than a set rule, although if you want to I can come up with some values, although we will have to establish what kind of SDK we are using.

I don't know if you need an SDK for this mod. So long as you can edit XML and add units, that's enough I think.

Using a custom SDK does have it's benefits, in terms of functions that you can use. For example, one of my favourit functions is a local specialist yeild increase. We could moddle trade cities (where merchant specialists would get say, +3 commerce and +2 food) making them REALLY good.

The giant scorpion! Pleeeaaase! :worship:

That would be a good unit to call attention to the mod.

That is a good unit to have, irregardless. We could have domesticated scorpions, with riders, with guns! A scorpion with a rider with a gun would be kinda cool.

That said, we need more animals of diffrent kinds, I'm thinking one veloceraptor like animal, one big, heavy moscus like thing (could use bear animation or something), then an overgrown cat is a must together with the obligatory dog/wolf creatures.

I think the scorpion rider would be kind of futile. I mean, even if the rider could possibly avoid being impaled on the scorpion's stinger, he would still get in its way and make it useless to enemies in front.

What's a moscus?

Hm, perhaps it could just be used as a mount, without the need for a stinger, and they would be domesticated, ofcourse. Or parhaps we could only have migets as riders? So that they wouldn't get in the way.

A moscus is a buffalo like animal that live on tundra and other cold places, hardy and tough, with a thick coat

To the creator of this mod, a tip. If your bomb shelter is supposed to be your place of government, then why not use the game's existing bomb shelter building to replace the palace? It's plenty doable to replace one building with another. I know because many of Warlords' built-in mods do it.

you know, i think i will just have to wait until Fallout 3 by Bethesda comes out to mod. It will use the Gamebryo Oblivion Engine, so i could mod it.

Why? This isn't going to be fallout, it's going to be fallout mixed with alpha centauri and our own imaginations!

No joke. "Damn skippy" is slang for "I couldn't agree more, sir."

Oh, ok.

By the way, slang from where? I have not heard it before, although I am not overly familiar with the English language.

I'm assuming it's most-common in the central USA. I live in the Pacific region, and have not actually traveled very much, but in the movies and TV shows I've seen, it's one of many terms used by so-called "Oakies" or "Hillbillies."

Is this mod still alive? Or should it officially be declared dead?

I'm gonna take a crack at a post-apocalypse mod, so if anybody wants to give a hand at some point that would be great. I see that some people have already tinkered with such mods, but never really completed them.

I have some experience in modding, though not with civ4, so any help that can provided would be great.
