[MOD] Sevo's CivFanatics Fusion 2.0

three things:
1) I agree about the SuperCiv, I like more choices, and hope many of them will stay. some of them are just silly though. I mean come on, a Georgian Empire? I'm from Savannah GA myself and even I think thats rediculous.
2) Is anyone else having the white flag problem with the new civs? my unit flags are all plain white squares sometimes, but not always, it's weird how random it is.
3) did you change any of the map generation scripts? pangea especially seems to be making coastlines that I like more

Yeah...I axed "Alaska" right out...I couldn't take a baseball player seriously popping up and negotiating with me. Many of the others will not make the cut, so to speak. While I'm fixing up the new Civs I'll be working on the flags problems.

I haven't changed any of the map scripts (not intentionally anyway).

oh I missed that the unhealty indicator is missing to. Well I hope these are easy to fix and can be done so without having save game probems!

Playing a Emperor/Marathon on earth_realism 1.3 map as China. As this is a huge map and a great time consuming quest Ill hate to restart it. Spec since I got an great start and actually am having an early lead which is hard in this diff level.

Happy / Yuck faces...probably missing. I made some changes to a fonts file to get the darn book/tuna symbols back and probably messed up the others. The fonts files are notoriously difficult to change correctly. I'll fix it...I'm sure that's where the "connected to capital" thingy went, too.

I didn't think the original marathon was 5000 turns long, but I've been wrong before! I'll look at it and extend it out.

Sevo- Somehow, 2.2 broke my game. Or at least, didn't work when I tried to load it. I installed it the exact same way that I installed 2.0 (which worked fine), and when the game "broke" it said that there was a run-time error, and that "Civ4.exe was asked to be terminated." Does this mean anything to you?

Also, if you still have 2.0 somewhere for download, I'd greatly appreciate a link, so that I can still play your mod.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Sevo. Other than that minor annoyance, everything else seems to be operating smoothly so far. :goodjob:

I havent used the supercis but dont you think it meens the east european nation "georgia" that exist today? There is a world outside america u know...

I havent had time to figure out what tech enables techtrade now? Found out it does not come with alpabeth now, kinda ruined my game but Im happy to replay.

I think most of the civs that were added need to go...

a baseball player, texas, and georga are the first...

and whatever is left, well... they need to be checked out with a fine tooth...

Maybe take all of them out and add them in 1 by 1. SevoMod 2.3.1... Sevomod 2.3.2... Sevomod 2.3.3.... ect ect ect...

I agree. I cant quite put my finger on it but they seem to take away something from the game.... Especially when the "pennsylvanians" are attacking you.

I think it would add more to your mod if you improved existing civs instead of incoporating these additional ones, many of which lack direction and quality i notice. Suggestions: Take out the newly added civs and instead add a second or third unique unit for the existing ones as a few mods have done. Also maybe tweak some of the traits people feel are under powered like creative and expansive. Or perhaps make a way to disable the new civs or have your base sevomod exclude them and have a small addon pack for the people who would like them.

And as i mentioned before the new civs got some behavior problems. In a normal game (aggressive AI was NOT checked) ive seen them start going crazy razing player cities, including capitals.

Actually nope,, the civ in fact refers to the state of Georgia in the southern United States. It is suppose to be a pseudo-confederacy type civ of the civil war. Either way it is goofy...

Well that is just plain sick. Cant we PLEASE remove such civs?. Makes the whole game a joke, not to metion way to americacentric. But when we are on the subject, why dont instead use California or Kentucky as US confederation civs instead for georgia? Or Indian tribes for that matter.

Havent got the time to look at the civs yet but I hope the zulu, viking, sioux/irqiuee (cant spell) are in, would be nice to have em fill out some blank spots on a big earth map.

BTW hope someone does a civ for västerbotten/Umeå (northen Sweden) where im currently living, their UU could be drunk university students rumbling about.

Hello SEVO

Thanks for this mod. I have been playing Exaviers mod and now when he has written that he might suspend his work on his mod I downloaded your mod and I will try it.
What I wouldlike to suggest you is that you should maybe look at Exaviers mod and take few changes from his work. I mean here units tweaks and technologies. He made very good work it would be shame to waste it.
As soon as I start playing your mod I will give you my humble feedback.

I also have few (good?) ideas and soon I will share it with you

Best regards to all

nace mod. thks for you good mod and hard work:)

When I researched The Calender my screen resolution is messed up, Im currently running on the highest resolution and like it that way, but after the Calender the new resulotion is greatly slowing my game down!

How do I disable this effect?

Sevo:

Great mod so far! I've been curious though as to why you haven't updated the Promotion's and Perks Mod that Zuul's been working on from v0.4 to at least v0.5?

That's the only thing that's preventing me from having this mod from going into my customassets folder to affect the game in general instead of having it as a loadable mod! :)

Thanks!

Just whim, I think. I'll prolly throw a few more in with the next "big" update, but some of them I don't like for some reason. :hmm: A lot of people have asked for more of the perks.

I don't know...Calendar shouldn't change your screen "Resolution" at all. It's possible the new camera angle is hurting performance, though. Anyone else noticing this?

That cracked me up! They could add -2 science, -2 health, and +1 happiness to any city they settle in...

Anyway, here's what I'm doing with SuperCiv: I'm cutting it down and cleaning it up. It bugs the hell out of me in terms of inconsistency of quality and feel. Plus, for better or worse, Firaxis went with cartoony animated leaderheads, and throwing real pictures in there just...doesn't look right. And yeah, some of the "CIVS" are totally bizarre. So I'm cleaning it up and making it pretty so it fits better into the game. Shouldn't take long. I think it'll work the way I'm planning.

:goodjob: Sweet mod!!!

Question. Have the Privateer units lost the ability to fly the Jolly Roger? Mine fly the national pennant, so they are unable to do rotten sneaky stuff.

In addition to some of the 'bizarre' civs, some Civ's UUs seem screwed up. Some are rather inferior in comparison to others (of the Riflemen, I'm sure I saw one that had the +25% vs. Gunpowder units bonus, akin to the Red Coat, but had no other bonuses at all. And I think the Israeli UU Swordsman doesn't -have- any bonuses.)

"I don't know...Calendar shouldn't change your screen "Resolution" at all. It's possible the new camera angle is hurting performance, though. Anyone else noticing this?"

Hm I played 5-6 hours today (got home early from work due to "illness").
I really like most changes in the game but this calender thing just must go! It makes working out tilt distances on top of the screen very hard, missed several times (it could be due to my recent wiskey bottle purchase but not sure on this one).

I restarted the game and my performance was around the usuall, so it seems not to effect that area, but my vote is to change it back to normal.

One more thing, Im starting to belive that something is very wrong with the AI, the current game im running is an walk in the park (Emperor diff). The offensive wars I had was very easy to win due to that the AI planted 2-3 units in every city and the rest in their capital, around 20-30 of them. Even when thay got superior numbers the AI keept their units in their capital letting me have the other cities.

Was a long time ago I played on emperor on a regular civ game and what I remember that was insanly hard, keep getting 10vs1 unit comparsion.
