[MOD] The Second Revolution!

I suppose you want to keep this thread nonpolitical so you taliban types can have a place to feel good about your misery. If you ever looked up anything but left wing media you might have a real idea what’s going on in the world. The left in this country is responsible for most of the body bags in this deal up to and including 911 much less the current situation. The constant tirade from the left since their flop in the last election has given nothing but confidence and support for our enemies, heck you might as well send our enemies cash and fighters. Keep up the great work trashing America on the left (sarcasm).

Jeez! Frakin' Right facsist!
:)

Hey, I didn't do anything! On a forum for a game thats about real life civs, don't you think there'll be some historical and political talk? I wasn't really off-topic. And I've been contributing to the discussion of this cool scenario too. So it's not my fault in any way.

every one relax. we just got flamed and a moderator warned everyone. no big deal.

What does anyone think of those civics? we need to figure out what the heck they will do in-game. that i havent figured out my self.

Listen to Kitty!

Those civics sound good Garret, the joy is making them useful and unique.

A socialist civic would of course give a reduction in maintnence for distance from capital. And Militarism would reduce war weariness and improve millitary unit production. What traits will the leaders have? I would expect Marcos to be considered charismatic, and George Bush to be imperialistic.

So could someone define 'personalistic' ?

Wait, where did you get this 'personalistic' word from? I guess it would mean they were egotistic but...whatever.

It could be a cult of personality, like Kim Jong Il. He's considered a god in North Korea.

Oohhh, okay. Yeah I suppose it would mean they have a cult of personality. Fidel Castro will probably start with this civic.

One thing to be adressed is Uniqe Buildings. What do you think they should be? Mall would be good for America, since America will probably start with Hollywood, Rock and Roll and Broadway. But maybe America's UB should be something representing Bush's regieme, something more militiristic. Like a "Bush Campaign Base" (reduces war weariness, new units get +2 experiece):) . Castro could have "Cuban Cigar Factory" (increased happines, increased commerce)

Personalistic would be for governments like cuba's especially. It means that a main part of the gov't is motivated by the personality of their leader. Castro has a very high approval rating in his country, wheras G W Bush does not, so as would not be personalistic. I am also aware of cuba being a dictatorship, this helps with the personalistic civic making sense.

BTW: Im thinking about getting rid of the militaristic civic and replacing it with anything that fits governmental, and is not redundant with the other categories.

I might want to do this because of the fifth and final category will be military style only civics.

What will Bush's starting government civic be? Totaltarian? Do you have any ideas for the Military civic category? Here's my ideas...
