I coulda sworn i did a bug report about the domestic advisor, did i make a mistake, or was that deleted? I still get a 403 if i try the bug report webpage http://keldath.family-veldman.com/issuetracker

The web host still doesn't have mrgenie's site fixed, so what was the report? I mean we changed the Domestic Advisor Screen after the Issue Tracker went down so not sure what you could have reported....

Compressed last two autosaved games here

happened when i deleted a caravel out of my queue. I was really tired when i posted it so maybe i didn't save the post properly.

You need to turn the DCM Ranged Bombard option on in the Custom Game screen...scroll down to see it along with other options added at the bottom for ViSa.

Thanks! Is there anyway to alter a saved game that I am already playing so that this option is activated?

I finally got a game underway. Thanks Soma. (I went wrong because I assumed "latest full mod" meant that no patches were necessary. ) Things are a bit clearer now on the first page). Looks like an excelent mod.

One curiousity and minor annoyance is that the resources button (or shift-R) is reset automatically to "no show" every turn. This is on hotseat. I haven't tried a regular single player yet. Any way to end that? I like to see the resources.

Not that I am aware of, sorry.

Something amiss in TheLopez's Domestic Advisor I guess...I will see if mrgenie has time to look at it.

You might want to also post this directly in the original thread of TheLopez too.

Works fine in single player....not sure why hotseat has problems...

I installed version 2.00 fresh. Then manually copied the files from the 2.10 patch overtop of the 2.00.

I get an error on startup.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program:..mes\Side Meier's Civilization 4\Warlords\Civ4Warlords.exe

This application has requested the ruintime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.

Back in post 1150 you can find info on this...though not sure what the problem was or if the person got it fixed...

Seems like somebody else commented on this in the last 50 posts but I didn't see anything taking a quick look.

Yeah I didnt see a solution either. I've already confirmed the registry is pointing to the correct path.

Unfortunately I don't have a better suggestion than re-installing at this point....just hard to tell what is going on so far.

See title. This is a bit odd for me.

I installed CivIV:Warlords 2.08, diligently followed the instructions here for installing the ViSa Modpack with the appropriate patch.

The game loaded quite fine. Regular games play as they should.

When I load the ViSa mod at the Main Menu, it shows the splash screen as it should and everything appears to be working. However, I began to notice a few problems at this point.

1.) Selecting 'Options' from Main Menu with the ViSa mod running is not possible. The text for 'Options' flickers a bit as if the program detected the clicky, but nothing happens.

2.) Same problem occurs when I try to select the 'ViSapedia'.

O-kaaay.

I go back to the CivIV:Warlords Main Menu, set my options *there*, and all is good. I then re-load the ViSa mod.

I began a new game (Pangaea, six civs, et cetera). The game loaded, the little 'autosaving...' text appeared in the upper left... everything seems normal.

...Until I see my initial screen with the settler and warrior unit. The problem here is that I *only* see them, the terrain, and that is it. All of the normal button menus are entirely absent. See this link for a screenshot of what I mean if it is not clear:

:aargh:

Hotkeys still seem to work all right. I can turn on the grid, yield display, and other things which I usually toggle with the on-screen buttons.

This problem is, for me anyway, specific to the usage of the latest ViSA mod- other mods run fine, as well as regular CivIV:Warlords v2.08. I even looked in the help texts in the main Civfanatics website to see if there were hotkeys I could try to toggle the on-screen menus in the game, but I could not find anything that would help.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a bug problem here?

Any help would be appreciated. I can provide more information if it is needed to analyse the issue.

:please:

I haven't tried so I'm not 100% sure of this but I think you can do this using the WorldBuilder:
1) Go in WorldBuilder
2) Save it
3) Edit it with a text editor and add Option=GAMEOPTION_DCM_BOMBARD in the options
4) Reload it and continue your game
5) Post back to say if it worked!, I'm quite interested to know :-)

is that alt I for a minimised interface?

Yes and no. The screenshot depicts what I saw when the game initially loaded, before I touched any keys or moved the mouse other than to save the game.

It looks to me like the mod code somehow decided that 'Alt-I' starts out as permanently toggled to 'off' whilst also disallowing me to restore the interface via the usual Alt-I hotkey. Very strange stuff.

this also happens to me, but not allways just sometimes....
and when it happens i just save the game and quit. When I load that savegame the interface appears and everything works fine.

Pretty weird to not get the interface at all...never seen that problem except for some people with ATI video cards.
