thanks gents.
Tanelorn has got fantastic versions of the f-104, A-7, F-8 and f-111 already. I was tempted to do the better looking version of the Voodoo, the RF-101, but there wouldn't be much use for it in civ.
How's Burma coming along?![]()
All done except balancing the events.A complete reworking is needed, I'm afraid. The Japanese initial offensive is still too slow, and the AI defense of northern and central Burma is poor, allowing the British to retake Mandalay in '43 and Rangoon in '44. Otherwise the play is good, units balanced and the atmosphere is about right.
How about the RAF V bombers?![]()
Great job G, I love that m47 so much. There is that Ankara armoured division I wanted.
I am sure you can, and hope you will do a much better job than me with everything.
But as agent Archer would put it, "Danger zone" - Top Gun man, Top Gun!
Now you know why I'm inclined to make scenarios involving the Brits.Ahh, now you piqued my interest![]()
I find it odd how the sensation of this year (in the military sphere) is still now drawn by you!
(I am talking about T-14 ''Armata'', for when you decide to draw something Russian)
Now you know why I'm inclined to make scenarios involving the Brits.![]()
I hate to be ''that guy'' but one note on the AK! Or more like two!
One: That AKM rifles are way too long. On order to compare, lets take Tanelorn's greek and Turkish infantry units that are armed with G-3 rifles. The G-3 rifle is long 1.05 meters while the AK-74 is long only 0.95 meters. In all graphics the AK looks longer than the G-3 and a little bit too thick, like three pixels instead of two in the chamber area.
Two: The units you drew in the last post are correct in terms of uniforms and of high qualirty as Mc.Honey Badgerpointed out! But they are still with the bakelite AK-74 style magazines you drew. In the 1950's the Soviet army was armed with AKM and AK-47 rifles wich had black magazines.
But still, this post comes from a guy who know almost nothing when comes to unit drawing so if you tried to do it dimentionally correct and it looked ugly, then sorry for turning out as a useless rant!
Fairline, will you do Vietnamese units? If so, I shall shortly send scenarios of the Vietnam War.
