Moding and Editor Question Thread:

What is the hexadecimal value of civcolour-blue?

It`s not a single value.;)
In fact the 4 first rows of the palette are the CivColor. The 2 last rows are for Shadows/Smoke. The 160 color entries between are for the unit itself.

Hope it helps you ...:)
btw: PhotoShop user have a reversed palette !

Ok so whenever contact a certain civ in my scenario via communications trade civ crashes with a windows error message. Anyone have any idea why this would happen.

And if you contact this one normally (ie refuse to trade communication), do you have the same problem?
I suspect it's a problem with a leaderheads, and you can see it only after you actually meet the civ.

Sure,
where should I upload it too. scenarios section?? external host? IDK it almost could be a complete scenario if it had custom tech arrows and a complete civilopedia. And if it didn't crash in this particular circumstance.

Also does zip work for you as a format or do you need rar or something else.

While Fredgerd is getting his answer, I'd like to ask a quick question:

Say that you set one resource's appearance ratio to 900 or something so that the appearance per player is about 3 or 4. Becuase there are so many of these resources on the planet, will they restrict the amount of other resources by taking up a lot terrain types? And then what if I put 5 resources' appearance #s to 900 as well, will this have an affect on gameplay in the sense that there will be less of every other type of resource?

Civ 3 Guide on adding City Graphics needed?
I was looking around and realized that there is no explanation on how to add them to a Scenario.
I checked Tutorials, Civ Modiki, even did a Forum Search, and  turn up absalutely nothing!

To add city graphics make sure the new city graphics have the same exact name as the city graphics you are replacing. Make a folder in your scenario/mod folder structure
\Conquests\Scenarios\Scenario Mod Name\art\Cities. Place the replacement city graphics in that folder.

Hey guys. Im pretty new here in the forums. I posted this same question somewhere the other night but I cant seem to find where i did

Well Im working on a mod and actually getting somewhere but i have been steeling graphics from the graphics thread. Am I able to just use them or do I have to ask permission from each creator????

Also while im here. I have added a second worker for a different civ. but when I automate the worker they just explore???? little help with that would be the best :D

As long as you use graphics for a non commercial project related to CivIII, you can safely use them, they are here for that.

It would be different if you want to use them for another game for instance.

Also, include credits: you don't need to require permission, but adding some credits in a readme.txt is always nice, especially if you take several graphics from the same artist.

Regarding the worker, you need to have ALL the worker job available for each worker.
If one worker job is missing (example: your second worker can irrigate, but not mine), then the AI will not use it properly.

More precisely, it's every "Terraform" activity except "Build/Join" city.

Also, as an exception to the exception ( :crazyeye: ) for Conquests (specifically re: Roman Legions) it's possible to give ANY offensive/defensive unit the ability to build fortresses.

Welcome Aboard,

I hate to bump, but I have a question; that is what this thread is for anyway isn't it?

I noticed that in the MEM mod (Midieval European) there are gruops of flavor units and every one is named "Spearman" for instance, with no spaces at the end of the name. How were the creators able to create multiple units with the same name?
