Hopefully the Conquests "selective attack against units" (sorry, I don't recall the official moniker) will extend to aircraft as well. Although one might argue/suggest that a wide range of a/c should have this ability (if available) I suspect holding it aside for the AC-130s and other advanced close support a/c might do them justice.

Excited are we?:D Your lucky. The closest thing that I have had to that was a C-130 fly at about the same height but that was odd because the nearest base is a Naval Air station(No Marine Aircraft:cry: ) and it is a long long way from where I live.

Do you have details about this feature?
 
It's for subs and certain other units but I forget what. It is called stealth attack, if there is a stack of units you can choose what unit in the stack you want to attack (ex. sub attacks a stack with a destroyer and a transport you can choose to attack either the destroyer or the transport instead of having to attack the destroyer and then the transport.)
 
I actually read about it in context to the feudal Japan scenario -- evidently Ninja will have the ability to select a unit in a stack to attack. -- And again IIRC I also read that ALL scenario features will be accessible through the new & improved editor.

You mean, like it was in Civ2? :cry: The removal of the "cavalry" class and the "x2 vs. cavalry" flag were just one of oh-so-many-things that made my jaw drop in dismay when I first opened up Civ3 ... :rolleyes:
 
I like the fact that in the game Empire Earth, certain units have combat bonuses against other kinds of units, in a great circle of death.

Yeah, it'd be great to have pike-defensive bonuses against cavalry; ATG bonuses against armor; guerrilla bonuses against regular forces; counter-insurgency bonuses against guerrillas ... *sigh* ...

I just realised that there are two main versions of the heli, one with roof-mounted sights and a 30mm cannon in a little turret under the nose, and the version I made with mast-mounted sights, but no turret. Instead it can be equipped with a gun pod under the wing (this is what the anim shows). Don´t know why they do not use the 30 mm turreted gun on both....
 
Its hard to see the gun fire/smoke/whatever its called, I know it would be unrealistic, but could you make it larger?
 
Yeah I had a hard time even telling weather it was doing any thing other then flying. At first I thought it was just the run flick, then I saw something white on the side, and I read the post.

I think Yoda is right, that the muzzle flash could use a bit more emphasis.

Hmm.. Would it be possible to have the version with the gun turret under the nose, and HOT missiles under the wings? With two different attack? Gun against infantry, and missile against tanks?
 
I think it would be possible :)

*hint to myself: never mention that there are different versions of a certain unit*

Oh, and just to clarify - the version posted above has two attacks to - it doesn´t have a "symmetric" payload, pics show that the Tiger can have a gun pod under one wing, missiles on the other side.
