More than 32 Civs

Hello Civfanatics!

I am a German, so sorry for my bad English.
I wanted to build a Scenario to the 30-years war, because at that time europa a rag rug was, I needed a lot of Civs.
When I had copied Western Europe orginal from jahr in 1618 and I further wanted to make with dukedom Brunswick, I noticed that I no more Civs can add.

My question, how I can make more than 32 Civs because, otherwise, I cannot finish my Scenario. :(

Unfortunately the number of civs cannot be modded above 31 -unless they ever release the fabled source code ;)
 
Now, I have summarized some countries, but now comes the next problem, I somehow can not be more than 512 cities are building. That would be a very devastating problem, is there any solution? It may not be the players at 32 per player, only 16 cities can be built, which would indeed be in the normal game on a giant map a problem. Can someone help me?

Well, you've hit another barrier. 512 cities is the maximum.

And if you're going to add a bunch of units, I think 8192 is the maximum number of units allowed by the game.

Can't think of any other limits off the top of my head.
 
The only thing that I can think of that might help a bit is to make certain terrain, maybe tundra, desert, unsettleable, so that you'll hit the 512 city limit less soon.

They haven't released the code for Civ 1 yet, so I don't think that's very likely.
 
Don't remember where it is posted but someone recently posted a patch to let there be more than 512 cities. Russian I think. Maybe it was a joke?

No joke, it actually works. One limit less.
 
There is a not much remembered very old hack done by Chrissicom, showing that there are at least 66 slots for civs in Civ 3:

Due to the programming code only 32 of these slots can be used. But taking into account the very long turntimes for the AI with such a lot of civs, I think 32 civs are really enough. :)

So, again slowly, my first question is:

1. Does this patch also on a German version?
2. Can I be even more cities in the editor set?
2a. If only this CrackedEditor, there also, as in the picture on German or C3Conquest or both:)
3. If I use this editor then more than 32 countries do, I can then attack those countries?
 
CivIIIgamer, I´m not sure, if I did understand your questions well. :)

The C3C patch for the citylimits now even has a version for the editor, too. I don´t know, if this works properly for the German version of C3C. As I haven´t installed the German version of C3C on my pc yet, you have to test it. :)

The screenshot I posted is from a very old hack of Civ 3 vanilla (the first version without expansion pack). I don´t have this hack and if I would have it, I wouldn´t use it, as it doesn´t offer additional possibilities. It only shows the possibility for more than 31+1 civs, but these additional civs can´t be used.
