My top 5 favorite factions to beat the hell out of in Rome Total War:
5. The Selucid Empire - Big and rich, and easy to bring down when you gang up on them.
4. Gaul - it's just too damn easy, and you get a lot of land that gets valuable later on in the game.
3. The Greek Cities - if you can take and hold all of Greece proper, you've got a goldmine of resources, including some potentially very large cities. If you take all their cities, you've got four of the seven wonders of the world.
2. Egypt - it's quite satisfying to burn every single Egyptian city after you've watched your troops cut down by the superb Egyptian selection of units.
