Mornington Crescent: The Return

I think the move is acceptable regardless, but I don't think we're playing any form of Tudor Court.

Either way, my next move is to take Waterloo. Abba wrote a song about it!

Hmm, I guess I'll take the easy sputsh over to Chancery Lane.

i use the hamburg variation of the sicilian defense

I hate to quibble, but... Is the Hamburg Variation still legal? I thought it was barred after the Borlstein Controversy...

yep, and i invoke the abba rule which automatically declares you defeated at waterloo.
you're in nid!

then i move on to gorky park station, moscow, avoiding any attacks for this round.

this was being discussed, but after borlstein died in an alligator related accident further talks were suspended indefinitely.

I thought you could only go to Moscow before Waterloo? If not, this throws my entire plan (such as it was) out the window.

Yes, but the ABBA rule removes all movement restrictions related to Waterloo

Hey! You're right!

EDIT: But Subi, I think the consensus is that we're not playing Tudor Court rules?

And he never actually invoked the ABBA rule, merely mentioned them. There was a similar situation during the Kendo v Aryab Final of '98. If I recall correctly, they just defaulted to the Leighton Rules, and the next player moved to Queen's Park.

So, Queen's Park then.

Very well then, Leighton Rule clears up this mess we made nicely.

Euston, earning me a free token

Curses! I've been waiting all day for Euston. I guess I'll have to settle with Angel. And I've checked this one over, there's no way I can get nidded from this move.

Well, since you're not playing with modernized tudor court rules, and the ABBA rule was mentioned but not invoked, it's clear you're playing with post-stuart rules, which means that with someone at Angel, I can invoke the Revolutions Intercession and join the game by moving to Boston Manor.

My only choice then is to intercept via Tottenham Court, of course blocking your advance.

Oh dear, I'm in quite the pickle now, aren't I?

It looks like I'll have to retrograde on the Dersington, and bring the whole shambles swinging back around to Harrow & Wealdstone.

Was Woodside Park and North Finchley illegalized in the Post-Stuart rules to adapt to the new field alterations? I'm still using the Leighton Rules myself.

i'm pretty sure the post-stuart rules only illegalize it in case at least one active player has ever wrestled a bear wearing a pheasant as hat.

moving to old street and calling check on krill.
