MoshIOT I (Sign-ups)

Okay, guys, I'm finally home from my grandmother's, so I'll start working on the first update! Should be in up in an hour or two.

Can I still join?
If so,
THE NWACE IS REBORN! and with a better color!!! :p

CLAIMS-Attached. Capital marked with the vibrant green X as a tribute to the NWACE of years...well, years future :p.

A FEW DETAILS-
Government-True Democracy in the American-style: Bi-Cameral Legislative Branch, with a House of Representatives that has the members based on the population of that province, and a Senate with 2 Senators from each province; Executive Branch, with President and VP and that stuff; and Judicial Branch with the Supreme Court heading it. However, every person's vote counts in the elections, and there is no Electoral College.

Economy-Trade between provinces is free of extra tax. However, citizens doing trade as the owners of companies must give a 5% portion of all gained money to government for trade involving gold, precious metals, & useful minerals like uranium and iron. Trade between nations is closely monitored, but the trade is unrestricted unless dealing with the aforementioned materials, which can only be done by the government, or with permission from the government.

Yeah, you can join, but I won't be updating this till tomorrow or the day after. Just got back from skiing. :D

Joining as The Holy Brittanian Empire.
History:Britannia traces its cultural origins back to the attempted invasion of the British Isles by Julius Caesar in 55 BC. Caesar was met with strong resistance from the local Celtic tribes, who elected a "super-leader," the Celtic King Eowyn, who became the founder of the imperial family. The election of the king and the repulsion of the Romans is the starting date of "Ascension Throne Britannia," the calendar which the Empire uses.
The current emperor, Lelouch Vi Britannia, Has attacked Ireland, and plans on controlling all of Ireland and the main island.

government: Absolute Monarchy

Nobel ranks:
Outside the Royal Family, there are numerous noble ranks, listed here in order of importance:
Grand Duke
Duke
Marquess
Margrave
Earl
Viscount
Baron
Knight, non-hereditary.
Knight of Honor, non-hereditary

Economy: Britannia is a highly capitalist and consumerist society and the ruthless 'survival of the fittest' nature of capitalism fits well with Britannia's belief in Social Darwinism. Corporations in Britannia apparently wield large amounts of power and influence. Among the Britannians themselves, there does not appear to be a great amount of discontent with the current governmental system.

Religion: Despite being a 'Holy Empire,' religion is not a factor in Britannian society. Instead, the succession of the throne is determined through an extreme form of Social Darwinism in which the new monarch must murder the rest of their competitors to the throne. It is not based on divine right, i.e being placed on the throne by God or as God's representative as in a theocracy.

anthem:
Spoiler :
Truth and hope in our Fatherland!
And death to every foe!
Our soldiers shall not pause to rest
We vow our loyalty
Old traditions they will abide
Arise young heroes!
Our past inspires noble deeds
All Hail Britannia!
Immortal beacon shows the way
Step forth and seek glory!
Hoist your swords high into the clouds
Hail Britannia!
Our Emperor stands astride this world
He’ll vanquish every foe!
His truth and justice shine so bright
All hail his brilliant light!
Never will he be overthrown
Like mountains and sea
His bloodline immortal and pure
All Hail Britannia!
So let his wisdom guide our way
Go forth and seek glory
Hoist your swords high into the clouds
Hail Britannia!

"The military and the people are one!"

Nation Name
Formal: The Democratic Republic of United Praetorian Silly States; United States of Praetoria (DRIPUSS/USP)
Informal: The Democratic Republic of Praetoria (DRoP)

Descriptive Term
Praetorian - Some kind of ancient Human. Consistent features are antennae, and tails -- both of which vary greatly (Humans actually do have tails). Praetorians are about as diverse, if not, more diverse than Humans. Some have bronze skin, red eyes, and white hair, while others have fair skin, green eyes, and red hair. Think of a combination, and it's a pretty safe bet that there is a Praetorian with those features. One interesting factor is the antennae -- referred to as "Feelers". There are eleven total different types -- making the Praetorian people even more diverse and unique.

National Flag
sxzn2u.png

The Praetorian flag is a symbol of Sevenism, the national pseudo-religion, as well as cultural identity as a whole. The circle of stars represent a constant cycle of life; whenever one leader dies, another will replace him. When Praetoria "dies", it is "reborn". The white represents the knowledge and know-how to survive in today's world, while the blue indicates the will and hardy skill to do it; to get their hands dirty. Both sides are horizontally divided to show balance -- a perfect blend of the two, instead of obnoxiously overshadowing one with the other. The one star outside of the circle means that the country isn't limited to its historic identity, and has made one of its own to fit these modern times.

National Motto
Old; Still Used: "Honour, Guide Us!"
Current: "Forever Dispatch Evil!"

National Anthem
Old; Still Patriotic: "In the Name of the Emperor!"
Current: "Gonna Get a Little Dirty!"

State Religion
Sevenism - While not really an actual religion, Sevenism is an important part of Praetorian pride and culture. The number seven represents the Seven Founding Fathers of Praetoria back in the years B.C. Back in ancient times, the Seven Fathers were said to be seven parts of one God -- Praetor -- who picked the number seven to represent himself. Whatever the case, Sevenism has guided the policies and ensembles of the nation for centuries. It's unclear as how to exactly militarism and silliness are combined effectively, but one thing is clear; it's somehow worked.

Governing System
Democratic Republican Militarism - The military holds governing power, but its figureheads and leaders are elected by the people, who are from semi-autonomous states within the Union. The Absolute -- one who wields the most power -- is referred to as "the Emperor".

National History

Praetorian Culture and Society
Praetorians focus on innovation, militarism, diplomacy, and liberalism. Despite their military emphasis, Praetorians believe in having political power over other nations. But one thing that stands out above the rest is their devotion to the elimination of all worldwide evil. Prejudice -- of any kind -- isn't keen in this society. Neither is any form of slavery, forced labour, or unfair treatment ("fair play). As a nation with a bloody history dating back from clashes with the Romans in the years B.C., Praetorians have developed into a Warrior Race, but being a knowledge-hungry people, they've more-or-less become Warrior Poets. Praetorian culture summed-up could be described as "America, if the USA did 'it' right." Wherever there's oppression, tyrany, or an ally in-need, rest assured that the USP will be there to deliver aid, honour-bound by fierce loyalty, commitment, and sacrifice.

Military

Spoiler :
This is merely for structure and flavour, as I know battles are dice-rolled -- which I agree with.

The Praetorian Defence Force
Almost as old as the country itself, the PDF has been protecting Praetoria and its interests for centuries. Conscription was used during the Dark Ages (1440 - 1575), but was abolished shortly after. The PDF and the commonfolk share a close-knit bond. Both parties have been known to say "The military and the people are one." Though it would be ranked as a superpower military, it insists that its a defence force -- only acting when the freedoms of others are threatened.
Spoiler :

Praetorian Army
Obviously the PDF's oldest branch. Formed way back in 55 B.C. under Emperor Quantz Lekgolo. It's the largest branch; rich in traditions. It's regarded as the best equipped; least trained of the four divisions.

Praetorian Navy
What started as the Praetorian Army Maritime Regiment became the actual Navy in 1506. The Navy is thought of highly -- many brave men and women living in hostile seas for months at a time. The Navy's focus is mobility and adaptability. Their doctrine is that most navies don't have the heart for a prolonged maritime conflict.

Praetorian Air Force
The youngest, most laid-back branch of the PDF. Banded in 1945, under the Defence Forces Surplus Act that followed a series of small skirmishes in Latin America. Because it is the newest arm of the military, and laid-back in its culture, Airmen are called "Flyboys", or "Low-Flyin' Sky-Captains". They have the best explosions, but rank second in entry ratings and number.

Praetorian Auxillia
The Ambhibious Assault Corps (Marine Corps). Created as a highly mobile, highly trained mobile army, to counter guerrillas and insurgents in second and third-world nations. The Auxillia are the elite fighting-force of the PDF. They are rich in tradition, and very selective. However, their choice-cut attitude differs from the Air Force. While the latter goes for technical apititude, the former prefers strength, intellectual skills, and personal character.

Leader(s) The Senetorem

The centre of the Praetorian nation-state. Seven permanent seats, with seven more "mauris" (favourite) seats for future Secretii.
Spoiler :
Ambition "Ambi" Yggdrasil: The current Emperor of Praetoria. A kind, gentle man who seems like a pushover when it's outside-looking-in. However, when his nation, his people, are in trouble, he won't hesitate to dispatch the enemies of the Union!

Dao Shun Lekgolo: Secretis of Internum Negotiis (Internal Affairs). When things that the general public would be better off not knowing about expose themselves, he makes sure they go back to hush-hush status.

John Spacebound: Secretis of Scientia (Science and Technology). This guy directs and oversees national technological innovation and development.

Harm Harrington: Secretis of Militaris (Military Tactical Advisor). While The Senetorem in its entirety consists of soldiers, Harm is the go-to guy for actual combat manoeuvres. He oversees all military operations alongside the Emperor.

Michael Cellbourn: Secretis of Externum Negotiis (Social-Diplomatic/Political Affairs). Like a Secretary of State. He goes the extra mile by establishing new embassies, checking-up on current ones -- things like that. He'll visit a foreign country with the Emperor (if able) or at least Secertis Harrington to negotiate treaties, form alliances and such.

Dean Gallagher: Secretis of Usura (Energy and Resources). Yeah. Explains itself, don't it? Usually works alongside Seneca to oversee important economic issues.

Seneca Cicurinus: Secretis of Generalis (General Matters). For all else not listed, it's up to him to oversee economy, education, and labour. Don't worry -- he is usually aided by another Secretis -- Gallagher most of the time.

"Where's your territory?" I know. I'm honestly working on it. It should be up by anyone even reads this.
