Most scary or sick computer/console game of all time?

I didn't know of that game (Forbidden forest), but it looks scary mostly due to how bizarre it is :D
The victory dances make it even worse in that respect.

Well, this was actually cool and gloomy:

Spoiler :
(but not the absolute ending. I hoped they would go with the built-up, ie that you are the same farmer who tries to walk past, and walk into the cave met by "another" farmer).

The 80s was a primitive, strange and disturbing time.

Dammit, Leif, i told you to keep away from the barn, where i have my stuff. Can't i have any place to myself? :D

Kagero Deception for PS1, I thought it was a fun game, bought it when I was in high school, but later on I found this game is so sick in every dimension. The story, the ending, the scoring, the set, the background. The creator must be equally sick, I really amaze how this game is not banned at that time.

I've actually been thinking about a game concept for a while now, which is basically a game that looks like innocent at first, an easy puzzle/visual novel hybrid, but as you continue to play the story suddenly gets very dark as you realize that you're actually playing a mentally deranged person who has been... well, in the name of child friendliness (as much as that's a valid concept here considering the images on page 1), let's say, doing involuntary operations on people. The puzzles you were solving were actually you doing operations, and for the rest of the game, the puzzles would then revolve around you slipping back and forth between the "happy world in your head" and the actual world. Depending on the phase you're in when you solve the puzzle, you'd either get your typical mobile game explosion of effects and a happy "Well done!", or, if you manage to end the puzzle in the actual world - which would be harder - you'd be rewarded with a Fatality! ending. :D

As far as actual games go though... I think Path of Exile has a rather sick game world (mainly towards the end of act 3) without trying too hard to be edgy. Nothing beats the homebrew stuff from Japan though...

Puzzle game aside, the game description that you mentioned really remind me of "Doki Doki literature Club", the game give you that innocent impression at the beginning, and by progress the sick dimension somehow scratching the surface of the game as you play, and slowly it turn to be a horror that crawl out from your pc (depend on how you understand it, but we may say that happen "literally"), and as you dig deeper into the game, you will find out that the real face of the game actually drawn from the most sickest imagination that human can imagine like: "Human experimentation", "systematical torture", "brain washing" and of course last but not least "murder". Haven't play the game yet, and I think I will never play that game ever.

If you want to know deeper about the game you may watch this video, but yeah it contain huge spoiler.

Sick game? What about Plague Inc: Evolved? :mischief:
You spread sickness in this game in form of bacteria, virus and other things, goal is to eradicate human life :p

I like the style, but am wondering if using such gfx can be popular with many people...

The atmosphere was very good in this game :) And given i started using computers with an 8bit machine (the ignoble and generally crap Amstrad CPC6128) i do see some magic in such gfx.

I always found Manic Miner for Zx Spectrum disturbing somehow.

Also, how the hell did those seals and ostriches got inside the mine?

^Yes, the Willy series (afaik Manic Miner= Miner Willy) was bizarre. I had Jet Set Willy, which featured a very weird story:
You own a massive mansion, had guests over, now they left, but you can't go to sleep because your wife will beat you up if you don't first clean up all the mess. So you have to collect all plates and glasses and similar stuff from your house. This will be the first time you visit all of its 100 rooms.
:D

Faith2 seems to be very bleak as well:
