I actually figured out the twist just as I started up the movie. It was a bit of a random guess but I had gotten so used to Mr. Night's movies by then. Sixth Sense caught me more by surprise.

Cos it was the first film. By now we expect a major twist. I was enjoying The Village due to it's characters and was happy watching how they lived there lives.

By the way, Empire Strikes Back, was amazing. Remember watching it when I was six and all the kids were saying at the end 'Luke gets his hand cut off.' Was one of the few children (of my group, at least) that didn't know the twist in advance.

Don't know if it's a twist in the traditional sense, but definately a strange ending - I have to add "Donnie Darko" to the list.

well, the show with the best twist is....

Spoiler :
Oliver Twist of coz :D

The Secret Window with Johny Depp and Hide and Seek had some pretty good twists.

Hmm, not sure if it was a twist...but then, it kinda was. Add a second vote to Donnie Darko, at least for being a great film that made me...think.

Saw is pretty good twist. identity. a movie you guys never of heard of called stickmen. fight club and sixth sense the best. Scream, entrapment

Has noone mentioned Leone's "Once Upon A Time In The West"?

Spoiler :
At the climax, the duel between Henry Fonda and Harmonica take place.
Fonda is shot, and lays dying. To the background of Ennio Morriconne's great score, Harmica walks up to the mortally wounded Fonda, and wedges his harmonica between his teeth.
Fonda then has a quick flashback to many years before; he and his gang had lynched a cowboy by forcing him to stand on the shoulders of his little brother, who Fonda had wedged a harmonica into his teeth.

How did i forget saw? By far my favourite twist. Nobody on earth could have guessed that the first time they watch it.
As for the village, I sort of guessed the twist after they showed the customes, although i wasnt sure.

"Shattered" with Tom Berenger and Bob Hoskins.
