Recently I have been playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance with a friend. It is very addictive because we like those RPGs that allow more than one player on a console. We have also played Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

Please list some good multiplayer rpgs or games similar to but not these:
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 (surprisingly for XBox)
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Gauntlet Legends
or any other Gauntlet games

Please list them if they are for PS2, XBox, GameCube, or N64 (or PS1)
Thanks! :goodjob:

Your kind of limiting yourself with just the consoles. The majority of MRPG's (good ones) are for PC. Here are two I can think of:

Final Fantasy XI (PS2)
Great game, sadly you need a subscription fee though :(.

Morrowind (XBox)
Never actually played this, but I've heard it takes months just to start the storyline inside of this game. So unless you plan on wasting the rest of your life playing it, I wouldn't recommed it.

On PC, Guild Wars. MMORPG with no monthly fee. :)

On consoles, can't really think of any which hasn't already been mentioned.

@Stider: Morrowind is SP only.

Maybe Knight of the old republic or Jade empire? I don't know if they have MP mode but I have heard that those games are good.
Or Hunter: The Reckoning? I don't know if it's RPG game but at least I have heard that it has good MP mode.

For PC I suggest Baldur's gate series and Icewind dale series. They don't have as much as action than Dark Alliance but they are great :goodjob:

well then I guess PC works also. Anymore for PC?

Neverwinter Nights
Baldurs Gate
Guild Wars
*Everquest
*Everquest 2
*City of Hero's
Diablo
Diablo II

* Means that they require a subscripition fee

The one I recommend the most though is Neverwinter Nights, the storyline that comes with the game (and the two expansion packs) are great, and you can spend acouple of days playing them. What really sets it apart is the built-in toolset. You can create your own storyline, or you can download off the internet one that someone else has already created.

You can literally spend years playing it.

Yep neverwinter nights is really good and Diablo 2 is great but Diablo 1 everyone cheats. Baldurs gate while playable multiplayer is more a single player game. And the best mmorpg out there if you dont mind a p2p fee is World of Warcraft
