MSMD: How to Create a Mod (video demo)

I followed the instructions in the first video and started a game to test it out. It didn't work. When I start I go to the Technology Advisor screen, but the advice section is blank. When I hit exit and go to the map, I get this:

attachment.php

Almost all of the menu and status displays are missing. I can select and move units and call up the system menu by hitting escape, but that's about it.

Help!

EDIT: I'm on Windows XP, running Beyond the Sword with the latest patch. I've also got BUG installed.

I can't find Civ4BeyondSword.exe on my computer and it even says it can't be found. Is it because i have a vista?

never mind i found it

I think this is useful tutorial, but it is made in Windows XP, I have Windows Vista and I try to follow this tutorial but in Vista isnt the same thing... for example when I try to create the Shortcut, that option dont appear when I do the right-click on the mouse... and if I try to make it in other way, the system told me that I cant make a Shortcut in there... :(

I'm following the video tutorials, or at least trying, and only got to the part where the game is launched for the first time before I got an error message:

---------------------------
Mod Error
---------------------------
Mods\ColbertNation \ is an invalid mod directory, ignoring

I'm using the Steam version of Beyond the Sword on Windows 7 64-bit, if that matters. Here's my path in the shortcut:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization iv beyond the sword\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=/ColbertNation

Can you download adobe photoshop or a DDS plugin?

Do you have to edit the art files to add a new technology?

How do you get into the video demo of ColbertNation because I want to add audio?

No, photoshop is quite expensive.
But any other imaging program should do it.

So you don't have to use photoshop and can use a photo or draw a picture in paint?
