Multiplayer Difficulty Level

When I load a saved multiplayer game it changes the difficulty down to prince.

Is there a file I can edit to change the default multiplayer difficulty?

I think it's just a bug. It will show that it has changed back to price but it doesn't change the game as far as difficulty goes. It still should be the same as it was before you saved it.
