Shark Diver
King
Hey all,
After a hiatus from these parts (mostly) due to travel, I've started playing again. I just finished a game as the Netherlands, where I built the best capital I think I've ever had. This one, I felt, was worth sharing:
(Please note this game was set to Large (so I'd have more trade partners) and Epic speed, so the finish turn should be divided by 1.5 to compare to a Standard game).
Desert (w/ Desert Folklore and Petra), River, 7 Polders, 3 Academies (1 very late for looks), 1 Holy Site, etc....About the only thing missing was being next to a mountain. I had 2 food caravans going in the entire game and decent supporting cities. Yes, those mountain ranges and swamp-Polders made for great defense and I easily fought off 9 invasions during the game while conquering Japan and Babylon in the West.
The Dutch are now my 2nd favorite civ.
Please feel free to post a better pre-turn 300 city if you'd like.
