Hello,
I have got a problem. My computer have problem reading DVD with civilization 4: complete. If I give the DVD to computer I can hear.. something like unsettling noises. And then it does nothing. I can´t run my civ, because it simply says: "please instert the correct CD-ROM, select ok and restart application".. If I am lucky, I can start it, but I have to try it something like 200 times.. :( I have minimum hardware requirements.. Is there something I can do about it or some trick about how to get around "please instert the correct CD-ROM.."? :)

no, every other CD/DVD works well.. :/ (please, don´t say that my civilization DVD is not working.. it was very expensive.. :(:( )

this message is usually due to one of the following things:
a) a damaged or dirty disc - try cleaning it with a soft dry cloth
b) an anti-malware (anti-virus) software interfering with the disc check - try running the game without one
c) an installed virtual drive and/or emulation software - try uninstalling any such thing
d) a drive that does not work well with the safedisc program that checks for the original disc - this is especially a problem in vista...
