I too pre-ordered Civ 5 yesterday after seeing this gallery and reading this thread. :) I was supposed to wait for the demo before buying but this got me convinced that I really, really, really want this game. :lol:
 
It seems that Take 2 limited number of screens from preview version (15 max.) I didn't know that before.

I want to apologize 2K (take 2) for that situation but i wasn't informed properly.

Thunderfall you here now?? You must delete all my screens :( but only 15 may be..
 
By the way, notice in this screenshot:

It says Lord Azazell of the Egyptians on top. So it seems you can change the name of the leader. Maybe this also means that you can change the names of your cities? Some reviewer complained about it, but I always suspected it was just something that wasn't in the preview builds yet. This confirms my suspicion. :p

Thanks for being candid about this. It is not easy to have to publicly go back on those lovely screenshots you provided, so you have my full support and sympathy. :beer: I sincerely hope this will not have any personal repercussions for yourself. Clearly you've only acted out of enthusiasm for the game and its fanatic supporters.

Maybe Take2 and firaxis Games will be happy, rather than upset because many people after my screens and preview decided to pre-order the game.
 
The Colossus gives +1 Gold to all water tiles in that city only
 
Oh, Azazell, by the way, how did your game against the Persians turn out?
And what difficulty level was that? :)

In my opinion, 15 screenshots is a silly limit when Take 2 also allowed several minutes of video to be recorded. Still, if I were writing a competing review site, I would be quite annoyed. Game reviewing can be a rather political business. Hopefully it will be seen as an honest mistake. Good luck!
 
If it is allowed to make a video from preview version, so may by you can make a video using your screenshots? ;)

Yes. Take 24 frames per second, and you can put 2520 screenshots in a 3-minute video. Although yes, it would be very painful to watch.
