Hello, I'm wondering whether I should've made my first post here, rather on general discussion forum. :hammer2:

Anyway, look at these threads:
Buying negative influence from City States, exploring world with NUKES! - YES, NUKES!
Thoughts from Civilization 5 Beta Test! (this is copy of the above thread with few extras I made to 2k forums, after that many videos I truly feel like a beta tester!)

All of those videos are from one 1000+ turn session (Civ5 version 1.0.0.20). And I have still more to come... :crazyeye:

Any help is appreciated to sort out the bugs which are already confirmed/solved.
Basically I wanted to ask you moderators; Should I make new thread for every BUG I've found so far?

Also, take a vote here: How many Turns it takes for AI to set up Fishing Boats?

If they are not already reported, then please yes.
If you think it makes sense, you can first make a list and i'll look over it.

Bigger collection threads are not good for the overview, so please single threads, best with savegames for the situation and instructions how to reproduce it.

All right, I assume you haven't taken look at the links...

Anyway, here's the tidied up version, i.e. dropped some confirmed ones (I'll even add brief description to ones that don't have it, saves you watching the vids):

  1. Exploring world with nukes!
Nuking the unexplored space reveals quite a bit of the map.
  2. Buying Negative Influence from City States
This is the most interesting one, after long enough playing you can buy bad influence! They get angry/mad at you for giving them gold!
  3. Nuclear bombing barbarians and exploring world with NUKES! - YES, NUKES!?
Note the description on this one stating the destinies of tile improvements. Why didn't that Gold Mine evaporate?
  4. Wonderful AI of Civ5
AI doesn't accept the same deal in same turn anymore, I do think I offer all what he did, then asking what would make it work for him. See here how it should work: How AI really should respond to trades Now the AI changes the gold/resources and their values accordingly! Clearly a bug why it didn't work in that earlier clip!
  5. Rebuilding improvements in enemy lands
Here I'm rebuilding enemy tile improvement and then pillaging it for gold repeatedly.
  6. Building (rail)roads for my enemy!
At least you can build them there, I dunno who pays for maintenance though!
  7. Ending the 1000+ turns test-run
What happened to my score? I had got no instances in Civ4 where my score decreased after finishing the game.
  8. The Tooltip lies to you!
Why culture isn't showing up in tooltip, science is!
  9. Totally useless Future Tech
What's the point? 10 points? Maybe more on slower game speeds? Maybe give happiness? Pathetic when comparing to Civ4...
  10. Gifting Military Units to City States -- Or not...
Well, they can build missiles themselves. They are categorized as units but so are workers. Well, missiles kill, workers don't. Therefore missile/aeroplane is military unit.
  11. **Oddities of City Automation
Automation is broken. AFAIK you can't check multiple focus like in civ4, e.g. food/production at same time.**
  12. Oddities of the Unit Upkeep
Every second unit lessens upkeep, Great Persons cost upkeep!
  13. Analysing yield in-depth
"Here we can see that yield gives away quite a lot of information. Such as what policies are used by a civilization, does that civilization have golden age and so on.
I also noticed that either policy Free Thought is broken or it isn't showing up in yield correctly since it should give a +2 science to a trade post instead of just +1!
    Bugger!"

  14. Attacking "naval" unit with other naval unit
Not sure if this is a bug, but you can sink other unit just by moving to that tile... It gives no XP, though. Got suspicious, since ranged attack gives XP. It needs to be tested against real naval unit too!
  15. How many turns it takes for AI to set up Fishing Boats (after finding a Fish resource)?
How it can take so long? It's like AI can't decide. Same when AI is attacking. A headless chicken!

All of that is from one run @dx9 Civ5 v.1.0.0.20 @ Quick speed! I've got autosaves from turn 490 all the way to the turn 1005 (autosave every 5th turn).

"Got the initial 4000BC save also, now I hope I'd have the middle ones too!
But I don't, they got overwritten  → learned from it and changed max autosaves to 1000 :goodjob:"

There's my small list. I hope I spotted all addressed bugs from my list!

1) Exploring with nukes: Would not consider it a bug
2) Not destroyed improvements after nuking: Someone will have to look into that
3) AI + deals: That's known, i think.
4) City automation: That's intended, because it influences the decission for the gained tiles after the next culture expansion
5) Unit upkeep: Known, AFAIK
6) Policies: Free thought is know, the rest not

The rest is new -> happy thread opening :).

All right, I get started with them.

I think I'll be discussing with you about your 1) and 4) points later on.

Updated my list: added numbering to it. I use the new numbering referring to the list from now on, to avoid future confusions.

1.) (1) Why you think it is not a bug?
3.) (2) Thread or no thread -that is the question!
4.) (3) Not making thread yet...
11.) (4) I don't understand, can you be more specific or link the thread where it's discussed?
12.) (5) I know that the every 2nd unit deleted decreases the upkeep, but what about Great Persons, is that intended? I can understand Great General requiring upkeep though. But other GP?
13.) (6) Roger that.

All right, I get started with them now...

"Steam eats the souls of little gamers!!!"
And no, it does not.

1.) (1) Why you think it is not a bug?

If you have the technology to nuke an area, you should also be able to scout that area somehow... but well, it's a bit dull, i agree.
Whatever, open a thread, we'll see what the devs think.

3.) (2) Thread or no thread -that is the question!

Looking over it: I'm not quite sure anymore, open one.

11.) (4) I don't understand, can you be more specific or link the thread where it's discussed?

I don't have a link at my hand, but i think it's mentioned in the manual.

12.) (5) I know that the every 2nd unit deleted decreases the upkeep, but what about Great Persons, is that intended? I can understand Great General requiring upkeep though. But other GP?

Okay, agreed, open a thread.

Too lazy :D I was thinking to do nuclear test at that area before actually using the bomb, like in real life!

That gave me an idea, anytime that Manhattan project is created it gives you an atomic bomb you have to detonate in empty space!
