Mysidia, land of the Magicians
Leader:
Tellah; Arcane, Philosophical(Good)
Mindu; Arcane, Charismatic(Good)
Unique Unit; Sage
Favorite Civic; Scholarship

Cities: Mysidia, (any clue for other city names?)
Civilization Trait: Wisemen
Mysidia receives research beakers for every food resource or water tile. In addition, they may choose to produce mages without mage guilds... at a production penalty.
Special Building:
Tower of Wishes(Replaces the Palace),(+3 happiness, +2 Life Mana, +2 Fire Mana)
Serpent Road: Low maintenance cost version of Obsidian gate, available early and increases trade by 3.
Heros:
Palom
Porum

I've played the game this hypothetical comes from and I didn't recognize what you were talking about until you mentioned Palom and Porom.

But they don't have the Sage unique unit, the special buildings, or, to my knowledge, the civ trait.

Is this balanced for the world of Erebus?

Maybe, Four mana, but at a cost of income?
Serpent Road could be very powerful. How early are you giving it?

Would you still be able to build the World Wonder-Gate thing at X (cause I cant remember what tech it was), or would it too be buildable at Sorcery?

Yeah Sure. But you would still have to build Serpent Roads for the Income Bonus. This way you can afford to lose a building if it gets destroyed somehow.

As far as a I know a building can provide max 3 resources.

I thought a resource was something like horses... I'm talking about a +3 trade bonus... LIke from an airport.

A building can provide 3 types of resources, but I no of no limit on the number it provides on each except that they must all be in equal quantities. (Well, I'm sure it has to be a non-negative integer, and that it certainly must have an upper bound but that bound is probably way higher than you'd ever need it to be.)

Having a palace provide 2 Life + 2 Fire is certainly possible, but 2 Life + 1 Fire + 1 Mind would not be.

Arcane/Charimatic could be too strong...

Mages would get XP faster from Arcane, and need less XP to upgrade from Charismatic.

Arcane and charismatic together just might make casters useful compared to melee. Wait, of course nobody wants units that can rival melee.

I am referring to the usability of melee and the lack thereoff for other unitcombats. Most unique units are melee too. March and city raider really make melee dominate everything without support. And they hardly have to worry about assassins.
