Names of Warlords and other scoundrels

I want to give names to my Great Warlords, but need around 100 (20 for each) so I thought I'd go to the community.

Its basically 5 different warlords. 1 for each era.
I would like to get as etnically diverse as possible (I know Nazi-Germany had a lot to pick from, and undoubtly a lot of them will be there) but it can be any General, Ruthless ruler, despot, Bandit, pirate, You name it. The worse they were in history, the better, but they dont necessarily have to be bad asses.

Please note Name, Country/Empire and Era.

Examples :

Hermann Göring, Germany, modern
Rollo the Norseman, Viking, medieval
Erik the Red, Viking, medieval
Maximilien Robespierre, France, renaissance

Do generals for non civ civs count?

For such things "list" + something nearly always leads to a nice wikipedia list.

Great list. Thanks. Got a couple of lists but not as comprehensive (and international).
I think I'll just take from there (and some of the newer ones like certain Serbs)

I'm a bit confused; is this just for the vanilla BtS civs or for a specific mod or what?

I'd like to help because I sort of have to do this myself anyway, a lot of the GGs in BtS are also leaders of civs in my mod, so I have to replace many of the GG names.
