Naming the new forum...

Suggestions here for naming the new forum(s). Just to get ready, if TF gives the go-ahead.

Also how you want to divide them.

Mine : -

Off Topic (lifestyle threads, books, movies, science news, people news, poster-specific news, songs, bands, lite news, life's rantings etc)
The Debating Arena (anything leading to debate, flaming, trolling and bannings most likely)

E.g. ranting about the price of gas in Europe, building a space elevator, dieting etc go into OT; debating about Iraq goes into the Arena.

I'm very aware of the many concerns most of your OT regulars have. Pls free to voice how, if splitting is inevitable, you want it done.

not at all is how i think it's best done. You make a poll to try and justify a split and to go on with your plans, then you lose but still demand a split.(george bush like tactics)
if it does which i really hope it doesn't, babbling(general stuff just to talk about) and debate(debating things)

Hopefully, the powers that be will respect the poll results and OT wont be destroyed the way you propose. But if there had to be a split the only change I would approve of would be the addition of a Science Forum.

On another matter I am all for full and frank exchanges of views but isn't a forum which encourages spam, trolling and flamming a bit against forum rules?

If there is one thing we learn form this thread, it is that XIII is trying to push his plan into our throats.

Check out the other thread from a neutral point of view and conclude that most of us
Don't Want a Forum Split-up .
Also the quality of the content of the no voters makes more sense in general.

If it is inevitable, we should do the following:

-close the poll thread
-debate about a possible split-up in this thread
-XIII comes up with a final plan, including a clear description of what is what.
-Bring this vote to election.

If it has to be done, we should realize that it should be clear: If there is one thing XIII doesn't not want (I guess), it is moving threads all the time. OT stays OT and an extra forum could be added:

Most of you is not an accurate description at all. If this idea is as idiotic (my paraphrasing) as you suggest then it wouldn't have TF's ok to see if it is viable. Whats more is that XIII is acting on behalf of TF and CFC, It's his site and if he wants it to go a certian way then who are you to dictate what should be done with his site. If TF wasn't keen on the idea then it would have been nipped in the bud by now.
