If it's not full within a week I'm going to open it to the general chess.com community but I'd rather get some fellow fanatics in search of action.

Anyone? Double round-robin is a vastly different tournament experience. Instead of going for a year or more it's generally over in just a month or two and is a whirlwind of excitement, agonies & ecstasies, 162 little dramas played out across the world.

I've been rather sick the last few weeks with streptococcus. I also have had it hard enough to cope with my QA games not to mention swallowing and even breathing for a while there. I'm a bit better again but I've already had the streptococcus return once so I'm holding my breath it's gone for good this time. Until I know for sure I won't take on any more activities.

Not being able to swallow or breathe right is terrible. I haven't had strep but I used to get bad sore throat sometimes.

I'm not sure. You do have about a month and a half of vacation time though you can use.

The one difference between chess.com and queenalice though is that you has to be your opponent's move in all your games before you take a vacation (which I find kind of annoying) so keep that in mind. Shouldn't be a problem is you know a day or two in advance that you're going to get super busy.

By the way, I lower the "Concurrent Games per Opponent" from two to one. I feel like we'll get better quality games playing 9 at a time vs. 18 at a time.

That sounds like a good improvement. I'm afraid 18 games at the same time would have lowered the quality of everyone's play. Hopefully someone from CFC will fill the last spot.
