The criteria used is pretty stupid in my opinion. If it has text in a living language then is ugly. What the f*ck is this? Also, tricolors only allowed in Europe. I thought he was trying to clasify under a pure stetic criteria, not geographic criteria (if something is beautiful in Europe must be also beautiful elsewhere). And this guy doesn't even know what a coat of arms is (he just hate 'pictures' in the flags )

First of all he/she is a moron for liking Vietnam's flag so much. Unappealing colour scheme if there was one.

Secondly, Marla, how could you ever think that Canada's flag was only the SECOND best in the world. South Africa's looks like that proposal for the new EU flag that just looked like a rainbow.

Also I think the EU flag is quite good.

Well, personally, I consider the new South African flag as a success. There's a lot of colours and they all fit together. I like the way it expresses the diversity of the country. The Canadian flag is pretty too but it's still red and white. As a good frenchie girl, I can't accept a flag with the traditional colours of England !

By the way ? What do you think of my Top 10 ??
I would be glad to know more than simply the comment of a canadian who's dissatisfied to be at the 2nd place.

Some flags related to me:

The flag of Chicago, my city. The two blue bars represent the two branches of the Chicago river, while each star represents an important event in the city's history. One star is for the time we hosted the Columbian Exposition, one star is for the time the entire city burned down in 1871, etc.

The flag of Illinois, my state. I don't like this one so much. With the writing and the business (and the possible ripoff of Mexico), this one would recieve a poor grade from the website.

The flag of Ketosh, my nation in the online nation-simulation game NationStates.net. The emu is our national animal, hence it being on the flag. As it is often said, "Much like the Emu, Ketosh aspires to run quickly yet thoughtfully, effectively yet nobly, through the international system, biting, scratching, and kicking anyone that dares stand in its way."

The flag of Civfanatica, the imaginary nation we run at the CFC Model Parliament. A strange mix of American and Scandinavian features.

In 37 years of living in Houston, I have never seen that flag...not that I was missing anything! What is that, a train? haha, we just got a 2 mile light rail system up a few months ago, and we have the worst public transit system in the country! And we have a train on our city flag?
