NationStates!

No, nor I. Also, it doesn't seem to want to 'cookie' me, either. On both my home and work computers I have to log in every visit.

I got the "Atrebla awash with red-rimmed eyes" about ten minutes ago, I think the issues should be working again.

They seem to have relocated their server...the site is reasonably fast now!

What do people think of creating a poll of all UN members that want to be delegate and then the winner becomes the delegate but everyone has to support them?

I agree that everyone should support one delegate... But i don't know if Greadius or Dell's idea should be implemented.

(I might actually create a new nation to join the UN, shrudder)

I rotation would work by having a monthly or weekly poll to decide whether a person is still as popular. Simply rotating could make it difficult to remember who to support.

I will probably make the poll tomorrow listing all the UN nations and then anyone can vote for the one they want as delegate. Obviously other people from CFC could vote but hopefully they wont and it might make the poll results more interesting.

Is there actually a reason we need rotating delegates? Why not just elect ONE nation as delegate, give them full support, and not worry about it anymore?

This is, of course, said as a UN outsider. I have another nation in another region that has UN membership, so the 625 Technocracy is forbidden to join the UN.

I agree with Switch here. Why not choose one delegate, and then done. Not that Nixonland would ever even consider UN membership, haha, merely that the current solution is somewhat laughable.

I was playing NationStates when I got the Voluntary vs Compulsory Democracy Issue. When I looked at the third option in the debate it said this...

"This raises an interesting issue," says your brother Anne-Marie Dredd.

A boy named Anne-Marie?!?!?! My people are weird!

Just a question.
Has anyone of you an idea how, if at all, the UN resolutions are implemented in the member nations, as those telegrams imply?

They didn't even implement the voting time reduction. How the hell can they implement the abolishment of slavery?

Or is it just not implement to make it more realistic? ;)

A crowning moment of achievement today:

The Most Pro-Market Nations in CFC Region
1. The Republic of Greadius
2. The Free Land of Anarchic Decay
3. The Confederacy of Fanatikan States
4. The Dominion of The 625 Technocracy
5. The Republic of Nixonland

The voting time was a game issue rather than a UN issue and it would have meant changing how the overall game played which wont happen.

I think the UN resolutions are just for fun.Look at the last resolution,DVD code removal. It was passed and implemented in my nation, but how could this affect the gameplay? The end of slavery could affect some nations (like Nixonland, lol),but I don't think this will change the game stats of your nation.

So actually the UN has no sense in the game but after all the whole Nationstates is for fun, not?

If the poll is implemented, Stevski would like to be considered as an option for UN Delegate :)

I haven't seen a new issue in a week.

I wonder why? :hmm:
