Native America Mod

Hey R8XFT, before you upload, try making some leaderheads out of the citizens.
NativeLeaderhead.jpg

I would like to thank Hiawatha and Montezuma for kindly donating body organs to make this preview possible.

There are other guys you could use to make leaderheads out of. Of course this is just a rough preview. I expect you could severely improve. The difficulty is enhancing the quality. :)

Here are some guys you could make Native American...

I'm also going to make ALL the popHeads Native American. So, hold your horses R8XFT and lemme load some files you can include in the 'Grand Upload' :)

EDIT: Hell No, I won't be making the popHead citizens...:( I saw how much irritating work is involved:eek:. Only R8XFT has enough patience for that grueling work...:p

Unexisted - I'd already done the citizens last week when I did the advisors  !!

Interesting development at R8XFT's house - I bought Poser and some Native American stuff for it. So, I've spent about a day or so learning to do leaderheads on Poser. What fun.....well actually, it is when you get into it :p .

My first attempt came up with this chap, who I thought would do as an Arawak leader....

I then went to work on improving the Nez Perce leaderhead. I came up with Chief Joseph's daughter, Kap-Kap Ponmi.....

They're both 3D, fully animated leaderheads. I want to see what else I can come up with over the next couple of days in terms of improvements before I upload. I think if I can do a few of these, it will improve the quality of the mod no end.

Okay, guys, does 3.1 include R8XFT's Inuit patch?

Also, I can give you guys a secret forum (for private discussions) at GCF. I'm not trying to syphen the mod away from CFC, I'm just trying to make things easier for you guys, as I believe that would make it much easier to work on secret parts of it (not just via PM).

One last thing: Is there anything left I can help with? If you guys ever need help with any of the technical things, I can do that. I can also make your graphics customized in place of some of Civ3's original (for example the "terrain info" box).

Why are you guys speaking Japanese all of a sudden?

I thought you guys were from the UK and Denmark respectively?

Why would people(That is Unexisted and R8XFT) who are descendants of the Celts and Vikings be speaking Japanese?

Its almost like American Rappers suddenly rapping in Swedish! You know, out of character-like.

But anyway, good job all! Im so impressed by your newest work R8XFT that I can't really put it into words!

How many new 3-D fully animated leaderheads will the newest version include?

Viking? Celtic? I truly doubt that is of my origin. I'm sure R8XFT knows a little phrase or got a lucky guess. :p

@Gogf, it would be nice to own a secret forum. But, I would do not prefer to be obligated to submit my email address. I prefer that nobody (even Admin) to be able to view it. :)

Mobilize : appreciate that you're keen to get hold of the biq, but to be honest, it still needs a couple of minor updates from me (as I'm going along doing the leaderheads, adding civs etc) and also it doesn't have the map included yet. That's Unexisted's department. So if you can please hold your horses for a bit longer, it'll be worth it, I promise.

Unexisted/Sword_Of_Geddon: I am from the UK, but I can go on the internet to decipher a Japanese phrase and find an appropiate response :p .

Sword_Of_Geddon: I'll make as many of these leaderheads 3D as I can, bearing in mind the 100k upload limit ;) . I'm free today and tomorrow, so I'll see how many I get done and then we'll take it from there :) . I know it's a couple more days to wait for an upload, but I really think that having some better quality leaderheads in there is worth the wait .

Well, not all of the tribes need fully 3-D leaderheads, I'd say just the major ones that had a real historical significance need em(Just like my treatment for handing out UUs when it was my turn)
The rest can use the leaderheads that you've already made for em R8XFT.

You aren't obligated to give me your email. I can "pre-register" you. Just PM me your desired password, and I'll assume you want to have the username "Unexisted."

You can use the easy upload system for 3MB.

Your new 3D leaderhead are great R8XFT!

Awesome! I'm adding you to the usergroup that allows you to see the private forum. It is a sub-forum of Creation and Customization.

EDIT: Done :).

Sorry, if I mainly lurk here and don't post too much. Life's pretty busy lately.

@SoG: I'm not a descendant of the Aztecs, I'm just an aficionado historian from Europe who's fascinated by Mesoamerican cultures.
And you may bet that I prefer the modern religious belief in Mexico over the ancient one, and one would like to say the mission was a pious work, but for most parts it wasn't very pious... However, in terms of preservation of culture one must be happy that it was catholics who did the job because it allows more syncretism and cultural variety in belief.

@R8XFT: Definitely the tribe "Powhatan" is in the database, but that doesn't mean there was a tribe called like this. We know that there was some tribe which was ruled by a man called Powhatan, but history failed to record how they called themselves. Lacking a name the tribe was simply called like the leader -period. Similar things and processes are for the majority of tribes. The Flathead, Blackfoot, Crow, Slave, etc. definitely did never called themselves like that. Even the native sounding Navajo called themselves Dene etc. etc. That's what I wanted to point out, nothing more.

Actually.. most tribes don't call themselves what the Europeans called them. The Sioux is what the French called the Oglala, Lakota, and Dakota tribes.. Iroquois is also a French term. In fact, Cherokee people call themselves the Tsalagi, and the language is Tsalagi as well. Cherokee is what the Creek called us from centuries ago before Europeans ever came ashore.
