Native America Mod

@All Error Encounters, thats odd, because I didn't get one error throughout the entire game play?

Missing Entry in "text\pedialcons.text" Tech_Hunting

If this was the case, then no-one will have been able to have played it. Please check that all the files you downloaded are in the right place. The biq file should be in the folder:
Infrogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Conquests/Conquests

Also in that folder, you should have placed the folder "Native America." You should not have taken the Art and/or Text folders out of the "Native America" folder.

Hopefully, this should resolve your problem.

Just to let most people know:

Conquests Only

Maybe I'll just post that under the download.

I hope this resolves your query :D ; I would wish anyone to have to download 100MB twice :crazyeye: !!

Thanks man... now the file is working..

I'll play the mod now and tell you my opinion about it (but I've taken a look to the arts folder before and it looks awesome right now... the leaderheads are just superb)

Thats R8XFT's and Unexisteds handiwork in a nutshell. Now the Civilipedia and new units in the mod, thats mostly(Aside from a few units and the Civ entries) my handiwork.

Hope everyone enjoys the mod

Unexisted: Maybe you should put some installation instructions on the first page along with CONQUESTS ONLY. That may help a few people whose only problem is putting things in the wrong places.

Alright... checked the mod, and it's amazing to say the least... The tribes, the units, everything seems to be perfect...

There are a couple of things which could be worked on anyway: an American map (a HUUUGE one ;) ) would be nice to have.. there are besides a couple of graphic stuff: some transparency issues here and there, the problem with the diplomacy window being hard to read, the fact that the inuit city graphics cover too much of a tile, but all that is pretty unimportant really (I've already shrinked the inuit cities a bit)

Anyway... GREAT job guys... and thanks for making a mod I can enjoy for a long while! (and that is definetely more complete than any of the Conquests in the game)

I've added a pack of different maps.

World Map
America Map
Random Map

enjoy. :)

Just add them into the same folder you unzipped the regular native american mod.

I did the Inuit cities too big on purpose - I thought that the snow would spread a bit and look better than being white on one square only...

Thanks very much for the kind comments, I'm glad you like it :D !!

Conquests/Sounds. Memorize those files, then place your new ones in our folder under Sounds (create it) but with the same name as the original ones.

We'll add an option patch for the music.;

Well, I've been quite busy. First off, I'll have you all know that that music patch is completed. Its era-pacific(three Eras), and really adds alot to the Native American expierence if you ask me.

Secondly, I've playtested the mod myself, looking for errors. I found a few minor ones, and have created a patch to fix these problems.

The 4.1 patch:

1. Fixes the problem with the Native Archer that caused the game to crash.

2. Fixed the Silent Hunter and Silent Blade units, so that they have the correct civilipedia entrys and pictures.

3. Fixed the Barbarians, so that they build Warriors and Braves instead of Tribesman, which like the Scout(Which they are) now can't attack(Attack power of 0)

4. Fixed the 0 cost of the "Lookout Point" wonder(Sorry for those of you who liked the idea of a "free" wonder)

Also, I shall get in touch with Lord Thunderfall about the 4.1A patch(The Music Patch, but also with the 4.1 patch included)

The maps look great! Can someone with such knowledge creat a North and South America map with correct starting locations for all the tribes? That would be fantastic! Great work guys this is coming along amazingly!!

Well, I suppose the 4.1 patch is just a teeny bit to large for the easy upload system to handle. I guess I'll just have to bring it in with the 85.7 MB Optional Music Patch........

It's in wav format, right?

Cause, AFAIK, Civ music is usually in mp3 files, much smaller...

Changing subject.. would anyone be so kind to post an American map with correct starting locations, in which case Hawaii should be added to it? (Mobilize maybe?) In that case I think another S American tribe should be added (such as the Patagones, or something like that, or are they already in as the Mapuches?... I cant remember now)
And shouldnt cattle resource be replaced by buffalo, leaving cattle as an optional post european resource?
