    1 Icon for all of them? I was thinking of using the icons in the WB, but I can't find the Natural Wonder icon and the others are hard to find aswell.

    How do I code this:

    The original mt Everest idea was to be placed in a tile surrounded by peaks
    That was because the original model was not perfect and needs the peaks to cover up.
    I told him bad idea because that makes Everest a poor wonder because it comes with 4 useless tiles and it is hard to spawn unless you spawn it and alter the surrounding.

    Mt Everest can spawn on any snow tile in my mode because it doesn't matter since the feature itself is impassable.
    It is just that peak checks like volcano events won't choose it because it isn't a peak tile

    Just look into art define file for features and copy buttons

    Well in C2C (and RoM/AND) we have Usable Mountains mod which makes them not only passable and useable but also you can found cities on them (with the right tech).

    Unfortunately volcanoes in C2C don't use the peak check that BtS uses. We probably need to do something with that event for the volcano wonders.

    My two natural wonders vanished when I updated to latest assets (Mount Sinai, and the crater one). The features (they were features right) just vanished from the map. Have natural wonders been removed temporarily or something?

    Edit - no SO blew it up when he renamed the folder. He didn't change the directory name in the modular loading controls. I'll fix it.

    Loving the natural wonders guys, especially the nice bonus buildings that go with them.

    Also, good to see Shark Bay with a picture of stromatolites instead of the obvious sharks.

    The version of Platyping's Natural Wonders ours is based on is very old and has a few bugs that have since been corrected in his version. His version is a lot more polished now. I am in the process of converting the latest to C2C now. (I have found I can do some work on this machine but I can't upload much, so can't post changes to the SVN or these forums.)

    The idea for Natural Wonders was to merge the Civ V concept into Civ IV to some extent this has been accomplished with Platying's new version. It still does not fit straight into C2C and I hate (hate, hate) the way the wonders pop into existence after the first turn of a game. A solution which is necessary if you want the plot to provide extra returns. Our solution was to have a building in available in the city to provide the extra yields and other things.

    Discovery of Natural Wonder

    In both versions money is given for discovering the Natural Wonder. In Civ V I believe you get nation wide happiness. Many people have complained about the money and happiness is not much of an issue in C2C.

    Any suggestions on what we could replace it with?

    Building a city next to a Natural Wonder

    In Platyping's new version the city that is built with the Natural Wonder in its work radius gets a free building related to that particular wonder that gives GP points. Not sure what happens if the National Wonder only becomes inside your territory when your borders expand. This is especially important with the Realistic Culture Spread option.

    In C2C you have to build a building to get the benefits. Benefits that change over time. The building can be built in more than one city if the wonder is in the work radius and owned by the player of the city.

    I suggest we should combine these ending up with a building that is automatically built but is only available in one city.

    I will need to go through the Myth buildings and ensure we are not duplicating there. Table Mountain for example is considered a Land form for the Land form Myth.

    Volcanoes

    Many of the Natural Wonders are volcanoes but they do not provide the benefits or dangers of volcanoes, they do not erupt nor provide access to buildings nor do they become extinct. Should they?

    The first one I suggest Global Culture.
    I also suggest that all finding it get a little Global Culture but that the one finding it first gets a big bonus.
    When finding these late in the game the little Global Culture gained will make no difference, but the early explorers and discoverers it could mean gaining the next Leadership Trait a bunch faster.
    Is that not after all what they give, incorporating stories and myths about the Natural Wonders into the nations culture, or at least could be if one wants to look at it that way.

    The second one I suggest an autobuild but for all cities with it in radius.
    This because currently all the various buildings that are possible when having a resource, or type of land, or feature, or the right combo of them, are buildable in all cities having these in the city vicinity Why would Natural Wonder be an exception?

    If they are active volcanoes I do not see why not.

    It is actually, not to provide extra returns, but rather to allow city to use it as a working plot. Extra returns can be easily done via XML. If a NW is impassable, no matter what XML yields are given, city cannot work the plot.

    The extra returns is merely, to make it comparable to a useful end game improvement.

    Whichever city built next to a NW within its BFC first gets the building, regardless of culture. Cause I cannot be bothered to monitor. Coupled with the fact that the plot is workable due to above, A.I. might attempt to build near it.

    If the city is destroyed, then the building is automatically switched.

    I'd prefer to stick to the buildable version. They aren't expensive at all (not even early game) and they aren't involved in any building chain. This way people can see them and appreciate them more.

    If they worked like volcanoes wouldn't they chnage into non-natural wonders and just normal terrain features? Such as if a volcano went dormant or active when the wonder was not in that state.

    From History Rewritten:). I am currently updating the version of Natural Wonders there are a few minor things that Platyping's version (that is on the SVN) doesn't do that ours did in v34. Cater for old people being one:D.

    I can't get the movies to work, so I have gone back to a clean version (latest SVN) of C2C and the latest version of Platyping's natural Wonders. I have demonstrated that the XML movie is correct but it is not playing. I expect it is some dyslexic thing in the XML name of the movie I am missing.

    The corresponding "Wonder of nature" building for this is apparently missing from the mod. I checked the Sevopedia after discovering that I couldn't build it in a city settled next to it.

    That is correct. The modders who do those buildings are taking a break. I can turn it off or maybe someone can suggest a set of stats for the building?
