NDNESIV: A New World, A New History

Yeah, you take upkeep out yourselves.

also, the order format is on the front page in case you were wondering. (I'm pretty sure I've said this at least 2 times now)

Okay, another question. My city-state has this:

Income: 1,580 (80 upkeep)

Do I subtract that 80 from the 1580, or has that already been done? If I purchase new military units, does that added upkeep get subtracted right away? Is there any domestic upkeep?

you subtract the 80, leaving you 1500 to spend on anything that you want.

if you purchase more troops this turn for use this turn, you have to pay both upkeep and purchase cost this turn(as well as purchase cost every turn you would normally have to thereafter); if you purchase them this turn for use next turn, you only have to pay purchase cost this turn.

this is how i understand it- if i'm incorrect, anyone should feel free to set me straight.

You have. I just wasn't clear on what actually changed. Apparently, almost nothing at all. Okay, I'll do it again...

Actually, the main reason I PMed you to re-send orders was that you sent them so early, I didn't see them grouped with the others :crazyeye: Still, skimming over them it seems like you changed some spending, which I guess means you did need to change something.

Sorry for the mix up. I really need to start paying more attention to stuff :/

Not a problem, as I needed to fix the upkeep thing anyway. What with so many nation-states in this game, I'm really not surprised that you would overlook something :)

Real life is kind of making my NESing time go down a bit. I'll try to work on the update a little this upcoming break.

Damn this book report.

And I thought pestering didn't work. Is there a double standard here for newer NESers.:p

Well it wasn't really pestering so much as just asking a honest question. I could see how many might think this may be in trouble. Thus I believed it would be good to reassure you guys that I'm not giving up on this.

Of course Matt I would likely have not replied to you if you had asked the same question. Just to mess with you ;)

Taking Shanyi! The mainland are full of buerucrats, and their cities are too crowded... (I just hope Matt won't conquer it all.)

I think the Mainland, if it ever unites, will do so this way...
(btw, you can use this for NPC moves)
Deros sends spies to iniciate revolt in Sohoi, then informs Treman that if they want to gain control of the Sohoian Wheat, they can agree to an alliance. When they attack, however, Treman will find most of Sohoi already under the Pro-Deros Rebellion. Then reports comeback of a large Derosian invasion into Treman, and that the Hanyi islands are cut off by Mercenaries. The army fights to the death or escapes and hires out as mercenaries... :P

(Hehe, I have no hope that this would work, so I go with Shanyi.)
