I've got a huge mod that's coming, how do I post it? It exceeds the limits on the Downloads page.

It's pretty quality, it adds eight civs, a new trait and leaders, a new Great Person, etc. It's the only way I like to play Civ these days when I'm playing the AI. The Civs included are Polynesia, Iroquois (native americans are now Sioux), Poland, Kongo, Israel, Italy, Gran Colombia, Hittites.

I'll post some pictures tonight, but for now I just need to know the process for allowing other people to access my mod ...

The usual way is to upload it someplace which allows for larger files and then link to it here.

One such place is Filefront

No Austria? What a rip! :mischief:

My most sincere apologies for my lack of Austria. Limits are what they are, and I am a most limited provider.

Here are the photos I promised. Please no comments until I write LAST on an entry, I want to get a bunch of photos attached. In different posts.

First, let me tell you that a new trait, Strategic, is involved. This is +1 gold from trade routes, +20% EPs, Double production of Stables, Intelligence Agency, Mounted Units start with Flank 1.

Imperialistic is now double production jails and customs houses, and Great Generals start Golden Ages. Expansive is 50% worker production bonus, and Protective also doubles production of Security Bureau.

This is Grand Colombia, with Simon Bolivar. UU -- Libertador, UB -- Opera House. Traits are Imp/Str, and the Libertador is awesome (cavalry replacement, has 2 first strikes and bonus attacking cities).

Kongo, led by Nzinga Mbemba.

The UU, Slinger, is awesome because you get Nzinga's protective bonus without having to take time to research archery. You can build them right away. Should note here, Saladin is the only leader whose traits have shifted, I have him Spiritual/Strategic, which has great synergy with his UU.

Mighty Poland. This leaderhead was the hardest and most fun, because he's a collectin of other elements rolled up into the guy, but love how he turned out. All new civs have unique music for their leader for all three eras, and customized greetings and text responses that fit their personal histories. For example, when Bolivar first meets you, he'll offer to "liberate" your cities.

And the Hittites make their triumphant return to the world of Civ. Good to note here that there are minor tweaks to other civ UUs as well, specifically the Aztec Jaguars now have 20% bonus attacking cities, as opposed to 10, and Ballista elephants do collateral damage. The Huluganni, after aggressive and strategic base promotions, coupled with the barracks, is a mounted unit killer. It's almost OP, but not nearly as obscene as Praets, so I'm safe I think.

These guys are nasty but historically important. Also, Hirohito, Carlos V and Nelson Mandela are in the game, providing second leaders to Japan, Spain and Zulu.

I do not support Hitler, and recognize some find him offensive. If you do, I apologize for offending, that is not my intent. He's just too pivotal a historical figure for me to leave out, I'm afraid. I felt that, like Stalin and Mao (and Pol Pot) have had too much impact to be ignored, and were brutal leaders who shook the world.

The Great Statesman is awesome, he can pass favorable legislation, start a golden age, improve civ relations, or join a city. Special Forces are limited in number but can really impact a late game. The Siege Quinquereme is even more interesting now since the latest patch prevents siege weapons on ships from bombarding.

And there's a lot more. Check out this word document for the full list.

Alright, in the next day or so I'm going to get this mod up on FileFront. I hope many people will be willing to test it out and give me their honest feedback. My goal is to have an final version out by middle of August, so no rush, I'm just going to take time to tweak it right.

Thanks for the help, and I'll post the link on the first post as soon as it's posted.
